Not a Thrift Shop anymore

Used to be a THRIFT SHOP -- now it's an overpriced BOUTIQUE. Don't bother if you're looking for bargains -- there aren't any there
Amazing Finds - Better than any thrift store in town

Yesterday, the store was having one of their regular " by the pound" sales to clear out a particular tag color. " All white tags..." OMG! I walked out with 6 pounds- ( yup , about $7 with tax) and got 3 Jones New York tops for me, my daughter got 6 tops- two were Nordstrom brands, plus I got 6 (!) Tommy Hilfiger shirts for my husband, and loads of name brand baby clothes. But looking at the original prices, I will be back even during the non sale times. I can only imagine what they usually have- the final clearance items were all in excellent shape, and very 'today'. My daughter didn't have the patience for me to search through their housewares. ( All white tags were 75% off for the day), but I saw Lenox dishes that I drooled over, and the jewelry counter was full of eye candy.
The place has this air of good feeling that is very homey and welcoming, even on a day where it was crazy busy. It isn't huge- kind of boutiquey- but a lot of care goes into the presentation.
I love thrift stores, go to them all the time, and depend on them to provide for my family. From the prices printed on the tickets, even at full price, they are lower than Goodwill or Salvation army, and the selection is astounding.
- Pros: Selection, Prices, Friendly workers, Clean store, Nice displays, Beautiful Setting, Easy parking
- Cons: A little out of the way ( but worth the drive)
A community treasure

These people just do the best job, providing a convenient means for Mercer Island residents to recycle quality, used household items to benefit others.
- Pros: convenient, staff there to help, accessible
Great fashion for a great cause
by JBanks9999 at Citysearch
It's true...they're not giving Citizen of Humanity jeans away for five bucks any more (and one time my friend found $20 in hers!), but if you want to find upscale, up to date fashion, what better place to go to than Mercer Island where affluent community members donate for a great cause. You just might find a $550 outfit with the tags still on it for $30.00...being a volunteer organization, they don't catch everything and that's the thrill of the hunt!
- Pros: upscale merchandise at reasonable market prices
- Cons: not open monday,
