Disappointing and dirty.
This was our first visit and we definitely will not be rushing back.
The restaurant looks dirty, the capets were filthy, the servers aprons were dirty, - all of this was off putting, and normally we wouldn't have even stayed and ordered. However as we had heard good things about the food and we had actually made the drive to try this place we ordered the ploughman's lunch.
The pork pie was pretty good, but that is about all we can say. The salad was lacklustre and there was just one thin slice of cheese.
Very disppointing to anyone that has enjoyed ploughman's lunches at pubs in Britian.…
Bangers and Mash and More. We enjoyed the bangers and mash and saw others enjoying pea soup and fish and chips. The food was a delight and so were the people serving us. The gift shop next door is loaded with goodies. Can't wait to go back for a weekend British breakfast!…
The British Pantry is a welcomed delight.. It was a pleasure to be in The British Pantry with all kinds of British items and then have a delicious meal at their restaurant Neville's next door. I wish I'd known about the British Pantry last summer when I was hunting for gifts to bring back home from England! It would have saved a lot of space in my luggage. My cousin, who also went to England last summer, thought I would enjoy it. She was so right! We're eager to go back for more shopping and dining.…
Are you looking for a British touch?. This place is great! I mostly rave about the fresh pastries/baked items, but you can get all manner of foods/food ingredients for a variety of different English treats. The bakery, however, holds some delicious treats! The sausage rolls are fantastic! Take some home and pop them in the microwave for a few seconds and yum-o! The curry "pies" are great and flaky and have a great mild curry flavor. The dessert pastries are also great. There's great tarts and especially the custard filled "mini-pies" whose crusts just fall apart upon taking a bite. This is a great place to check out and is becoming a bit more well-known location in Redmond.…
YUM YUM. We were recommended it by a brit selling homes in Bellevue and had to go and have a look when I tried to make gray with us stuff. Walked in and there it was BISTO GRAVY. Got a few other bits and then had a couple beers next door while watching rugby. We will be back and the owner was lovely to boot...........................…
Good eats and strange imports abound in this little grocery store where everything hails from the U.K..
In Short
This shop is especially popular with British families--prepare to be charmed by children calling out to "Mummy" from behind shelves of McVitie's biscuits. There's a dazzling array
of jams and marmalades, countless varieties of teas and an assortment of barley waters, a popular soft drink. Grab a can of Heinz baked beans and a sausage roll from the bakery for a true UK taste at home. If you're brave, add a jar of pickled cockles.…
Enjoyed British Pantry.
If you like British food, British Pantry is where you need to go. Where else in this region can you find a good steak and kidney pie? Great bangers and mash, too. Friendly service and reasonable
prices.
Visit the adjoining store and buy British specialties, some made locally and others imported, to take home.
I only wish for a similar British Pantry closer to Gig Harbor.…
English Breakfast. If you're going to the British Pantry, be sure to visit their restaurant "Neville's." The Sunday morning English Breakfast is spectacular! Bangers, amazing homefries, bacon, toast with jam or marmalade. Not good for the arteries, but my tummy was delighted! You've got to set the alarm clock though, breakfast is only on Sundays from 10 am - noon.…
