BOMB RESTAURANT

I don't know whats up with this idiot below me giving this awesome restaurant one star over and over again, but they clearly need to lighten up and find something else to spend their time on. This restaurant is amazing, the staff is friendly and it is my favorite place for thai food. The phad thai here is my favorite food anywhere. It makes me a sad panda to see this restaurant with such a low rating because of this one over zealous patron creating multiple accounts just to bring the rating down. I LOVE THAI GINGER, I WILL NOW PROCEED TO CREATE MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS TO BRING IT UP TO THE GOOD STANDINGS IT DESERVES. YAY!

I have eaten at this restaurant for many years. The service was pretty fast, but not that friendly. The food was good, but not that cheap for Thai food. The last time I ate there was HORRIBLE!!! I don't know if they changed cooks or their recipes or what. The curry we ordered was waaaay tooooo sweet and the sweet basil with tofu vegetable dish we ordered was a salt lick. Not only was their food bad, they changed how they made their thai iced coffee (which used to be a favorite of mine). They added waaaay toooo much sugar in the coffee. It was so disgusting. I took one sip and had to send it back. At first, I thought they put too much cream in it, but they said it wasn't the cream. They add the sugar in the big batch of coffee. Whatever the case, the food was terrible and the drink was terrible. On top of that, 2 waitresses (the ugly one with big cheekbones and the one with the outdated bob haircut) stood across the restaurant, pointed in our direction and was talking about us...almost in disgust because we complained about the drink. Can you imagine if we'd complained about the food? Definitely do not recommend this place, not unless you have no tastebuds.

Cheated on Bill

We were in a party of 5. We ordered several entrees and a few starters and no alcohol. The food was average and the service was wanting. We ask for the bill and find a total - no details. The total was at least double what we expected. We thought the bill should approximate $100 but it was almost $200! The waitress won't give us an itemized bill so we ask for the manager. Well, the manager proceeds to yell at us, calling us "rude white peoples (sic)!" We have no idea how the bill cam eto what they demanded butg we paid and left. We will NEVER return to this awful place.

Brutally mistreated by the Manager

Our food was cold so I mentioned this to the waitress. Next thing I know the manager comes stroming out of the kitchen and is yelling at me, calling me a rude, arrogant white man! I cannot accept this treatment nor should you. DO NOT GO TO THE THAI GINGER

We felt threatened by the staff!

I thought I had seen it all but not until last night. Our waitress was taking our order when she began digging into her nostril. We were too shocked to even say anything! Well, we discussed this after the waitress walks away with our order and decide to leave. The thought of eating at this place is too much to consider. As we are walking out the female manager gets in our path and demands payment since we have ordered food. We explain what happened and she screams at us, "I no care! You pay for food!" This is really bizarre. We explain we have zero interest in eating at the Thai Ginger but she then says she's calling the cops and that we are thieves! We left in any event and even had the manager follow us into the parking lot. This was an awful experience. We will never go back to the Thai Ginger and you should not either.

waiter passes gas in our faces

we went here for dinner. evrything was pretty slow - getting seated, menus, water, food order. Well we're eating our meal, finally, when the waiter is at our table pouring water refills. He suddenly turns, points his butt cheeks at us, and rips off a long, greasy fartt. He then turns back around and resumes pouring us water. We have never been subjected to such rude and crude behavior - we are speechless. I finally ask this kid what is his problem and he tells me that he ate in the kitchen before his shift and he's had bad flatulence all night. He then wanders away from our table without any word of apology. I cannot believe he did not pass gas in our face without intent as it was too contrived. Needless to say we will never eat at this place ever again!

CHEATED! DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE!

The servers were just horrid. Very rude, unresponsive, couldn't care about anything. The food was terrible. Our Tod Mun was rubbery, we think it was a reheated leftover rather than a freshly made item. The Phad Siew was really sweet; we've never had Asian noodles made that sweet. We got some rice but it was definitely leftover garbage. The best though was there was a hair in our Panang Curry! We told the server about these problems but she told couldn't be bothered. She told us that was how the dishes were supposed to be then walked away from our table. I guess this means their curry comes with hair I suppose. We got a bill that was just a number, nothing was itemized. It was a lot more than my mental math said it should be so I asked the server about this problem but she said the total was correct. I asked to speak with the manager and she told me she was the manager. I didn't believe this so I just paid the friggin bill and left. I will never go to any of their restaurants and neither should you. Bad service, bad food and then getting cheated on the bill. What a screw joint!

This place has taken a real nose dive

this place used to be a favorite but we haven't been here for almost a year. the service has really gone down hill, really, really down hill. we waited for at least 30 minutes to be seated but when we were taken around the corner to our table we saw at least 4 empty places. since nobody lfet during that time the tables had to be empty! the woman sat us right next to the bathroom. there were open tables but she told us they were reserved for other people. the three of us sat down and it took another 20 minutes to get waited on. after another long wait we got our food but the noodles were over cooked, the red curry was too, too salty, and the rice was garbage. we ate less than half and asked for the bill. there was no break down of items just a total and the total was at least $20 more than what we ordered. i aksed about this but the woman ignored . we left the amount they wanted, didn't tip and left. we'll never ever go back. you should not go here as they will gyp you.

I got really sick eating here

I went here for dinner with some friends. We had a couple appetizers, a couple currys and noodles. The food wasn't that good and it was served lukewarm and cold. I didn't feel that good after eating and went to bed early. I ended up with a really sour stomach with food coming back out my north and south portals. I think the food here was tainted since it wasn't hot when they gave it to us. I know I got sick and all but I need to tell you that this place was really bad. The staff was pretty rude and it seemed they were trying to ignore us during our meal. The food quality was no that great even if it was sefved hot. I don't know if they let the dishes sit out to long before bringing it to our table or if they were just nuking stuff because it went from lukewrm to cold pretty fast. Finally you could smell the bathroom because it's right there in the dining room. A customer went in to take a dump and we sure could smell it while we were trying to eat. I got sick that night and it had to be there food. I don't recommend this place at all.

Outrageous behavior by Manager!

We had dinner here last night. The food was pretty average but that is not the reason I am posting. No. During the meal I happened to get up to use the Gent's. My business was light and quick and I was in and out in less than two minutes. After about 10 minutes the female manager comes over to the table and loudly accuses me of having choked up the bowl in the men's toilet! I was speechless but I realized that every eye in the room was squarely on me - I have never been so humilated, ever! I protested that it wasn't I who commited this outrage but I am still not sure why she was accusing me as the correct course of action would have been to address the problem discreetly by unplugging the toilet. In any event, she seemed to want to accuse me of causing the problem but didn't seem to want me to do anything about it. What this public outburst did, hoiwever, was spoil the appetite of everyone in the dining room. She was loudly talking about the bowl being choked up with fecal matter. This ruined the meal and people began to get up to leave. We did too but this is when she starts screaming for payment for our meal. I told her she ruind the meal and we would not be paying for it! She now wants us to pay for the others who are leaving as I caused this whole scene! I was speechless! Utterly without words! The last I heard was her screeching about calling the police on me. This was a terrible experience. I recommend strongly that you give this place a miss.
