Toppers beats out the fancy solons.

I'm going back to Cookie after trying a pricy salon in Bellevue Place and an even pricier one in Kirkland. Cookie knows how to cut thick, wavy hair so it always looks styled--even when I do it myself. My hair is hard to cut; so this is nothing against the stylists whom I have not been satisfied with. I'm just really glad I found Cookie, by asking women with attractive hairdos who cut their hair. As a bonus, Toppers is very modestly priced, and the employees are pleasant, courteous people. As an added bonus, there's no manipulative sales agenda to make you uncomfortable.

Best mens haircut in town!

I've been getting my hair cut by Cuc at Topper's for 5 years now, and have been happy every single time. It is amazing how consistent she is able to cut and style my hair. Not like most places where you never know what you're going to get. The haircuts always include a wash and conditioning, which is nice and relaxing. Cuc is always so friendly, and fun to chat with. The price is right at $17 for a men's cut, and it has never gone up in 5 years!

• Pros: Great haircut, consistency, friendly staff, flexible scheduling and walk-ins
• Cons: The parking is very tight, and they do not take debit/credit cards

A rare find

Great for haircuts on coarse, straight Asian hair. I always trust Jenny's technique to texturize my hair when she cuts it so that it doesn't look choppy or too blunt. Reasonable prices.
