My 2000 Toyota 4-runner was in a bad accident on 5/11/07. The driver struck the rear quarter panel on the passenger side doing about 45 mph. The damage was substantial but my insurance company decided it could be fixed. I took it to TAS because it was close to home and my husband's work. I also took it to TAS because my husband had his beloved 56 T-bird in their paintshop. I looked online at the reviews of TAS but stupidly assumed that because they had my husbands precious collectible car, they would also do justice to the 4-runner. I was very wrong. TAS also concurred with the insurance company...they stated they could fix it to it's original state. They kept my 4-runner for nearly 2 months. During that time, they had to straighten the frame which was shifted significantly to the left, weld the break in the frame at the rear tire/passenger side, replace the rear window, rear bumper and various other details. Toward the end, I had to apply some pressure because I wanted my car back. When I was told it was done...I discovered they replaced the prevously tinted rear window with a non-tinted one. They didn't vacuum the broken glass out of the hatchback door. The frame wouldn't stay in place...and they had to keep it extra to straighten it again. They said they also found a problem with the steering that needed replacing and to this day the steering grinds. Oh yes, and the steering isn't aligned. The steering wheel is 3" to the right. I took it to another body shop for a 2nd opinion. I was told the car should have been totaled. To this day the car is NOT aligned. The frame has drifted back to the left, and is way way out of whack. TAS said to bring it in again, but they don't keep work friendly hours, which means I would lose pay and time from work taking my car back in for them to "fix again". Don't take your damaged car to TAS. I can't stress that enough.

Pros: they were friendly - customer service seemed fine

Cons: They didn't fix my car.

It all started with my wife getting rear ended on hiway 167. I first went to TAS for estimate using my insurance provider. The estimate to repair are 2000 Honda Accord 4 door was 4000.00 plus some change. I got three more estimates for price checking all were about in the low 4000.00 range. Some shops would not give me a estimate, they told me to go to All State, because they were the persons insurance provider that ran into our vehicle. So I did, their estimate for what they could see from not taking the vehicle apart was 2000.00 plus change. I liked that TAS auto body was close to my home and work, so I could look after the car as it was going through the repair process. So I went back to talk about the differences in the two estimates 4000.00 vs 2000.00. They said " they are on our side with repairing the car right and would work to get All State to pay the difference TO FIX THE CAR RIGHT". We set a time to drop off the car the next week, we left the car hoping for the best. After one week we checked on trunk and alignment issues, {taking pictures} all is okay, but not the trunk closing. We address it with the owner John, no problem they would fix it before delivery. Car was to be completed at the end of that week. Called on wednesday for estimate of delivery, left message for owner no return phone call. Friday I get a message at work, finally, but I was not in the office. I got the message later that day that the car must be picked up by tonight NO ROOM IN SHOP TO STORE! So I changed my evening to pickup the car. The owners son asked for a check AllState issued to me at their first estimate 2029.00 dollars I knew then why they wanted the car picked up in the dark, after 5:00pm. I had to get a lawyer involved, TAS will not fix many of the bigger items ie, paint matching, trunk closing, used bumper cover, tail light assemably, trunk emblem, clear cover overspray. DONOT use these guys, they lie, cheat, and reuse parts!!

Cons: Lies to customer multiple times, Incomplete job repairing my car!

Aside from the owner using family unfriendly language, the damages on my car multiplied. I initially came in for body damage, but ended up walking out with mechanical issues that emerged out of their service being done to repaid the original damagers. Not only does the owner refuse to take responsibility to fix the additional damages the shop has caused during its stay there, but blame further interior damages such as those caused by their employees driving the vehicles in and out of the shop. Stay away from this shop.

Cons: tight parking, small waiting area, unfriendly receptionist
