Impressive golf course..You have your choice of China Creek or Coal Creek. Coal Creek is the one that gives you a breathtaking view of Seattle, Lake Washington, and the 1-90 bridge; so much so, you might forget you're there to play golf! The cost of playing these two courses is unreasonable in my opinion. Although the staff will do everything they can to accommodate you, the price of playing is more for the affluent golfer. However, they do offer the membership card, and that may be something that will pique your interest.

Pros: Great staff; plenty of parking; great restaurant and snack bar; heated toilet seats; free coffee

Cons: price

Staff is gracious and accommodating. Green fees are outrageously expensive...most play when the green fees hit a business expense account. Convenient location with great views of Seattle/Puget Sound. Easy to get tee times (largely because of the price). Pace of play is relatively fast. Coal Creek course is too tough for the average golfer. In many cases, if you miss the fairway, you lose your ball.

Pros: Proximity to Seattle, Well Maintained, Spectacular Views

Cons: Expensive, Punitive Rough

Why waste your $ on this course? The views are nice and the upkeep is fine but the track is average and the rates are absurd. Save your money and go play Vicwood, Trophy Lake, Wash Nat'l or the MANY tracks that are far better golf courses than Newcastle.
