Rude staff and that's enough....
by ume23
The staff is rude and incompetent, and they treat you like you are there to help them. There is a decent selection of higher end apparel, but I would rather take my business elsewhere. I will never shop here again and suggest they change their staff before no one else does either.
- Pros: none
- Cons: NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND STAFF IS RUDE TO PATRONS
whatever

Try Nordstrom for ourstanding customer service, quality and selection. Barney's is too difficult to get a personal experience.
Luxury department store for the young and hip focuses on both established and up-and-coming designers.

In Short
Started in 1923 as a men's store, Barneys is now a lab for emerging designers. Prada bags, shoes and men's and women's clothing from designers like Donna Karan, Miuccia Prada, Vivienne Tam and Helmut Lang make name-brand fanatics swoon. Barneys also carries hard-to-find lines like the celebrity-adored Kiehl's natural skin and hair products, in addition to a house label and hot maternity fashions. Some locations feature a bridal salon and gift registry.
Great Designer Clothing, Shoes, & Accessories from Brands Like . . .
by trading_up123
Barney's New York in downtown Seattle has a great, wide selection of designer clothing, shoes, and accessories from brands such as Balenciaga, Juicy Couture, Marc Jacobs, Prada, Seven for All Mankind, True Religion. They were the first store in Seattle to offer Balenciaga and now Nordstrom has followed suit. Barney's is a great place to buy your designer clothing, shoes, and accessories. The only bad thing about Barney's is that their is a lack of good customer service, which is better displayed at David Lawrence or even Nordstrom.
Best shopping in Seattle
by victoriabestof
I love shopping here. The salespeople are friendly and selection is eclectic. I can find formal dresses for the Holidays and hip jeans and tops for a night out. There?s also a nice cosmetics section, with plenty of people to help you find the right colors. What a relief to find such great shopping in Seattle!
- Pros: Amazing clothes and service.
- Cons: Sometimes limited in sizes and selection.
Barneys reminds me of spring break

no class... Of course they have the requisite designer labels, and if you're looking for jeans and t-shirts - fine - if you want quality apparel with professional service? forget it. Their alterations services are ridiculous for a store that pretends to be high end, if you can't cut a suit - don't sell it. If you're looking for a tea party, as it seems some Seattle shoppers are, Barneys may do, otherwise go to one of the other men's stores near by.
- Pros: labels
- Cons: alterations, service
new staff, please!
by politiclothesgal
i adore barneys. the clothes, the shoes, the cosmentics, the handbags.....it's a fantasy.
which is why i am so disappointed that the staff i have dealt with in the women's clothing section are absolutely awful. not helpful, very rude individuals. which is quite unfortunate, since their clothing is fabulous. the rest of the staff i have worked with, in cosmetics and in the men's department are fantastic. too bad about the rest of them. they should realize there's no need to get uber-pretentious about everything. we live in seattle, for god's sake.
- Pros: unique merchandise, high quality product
- Cons: some horrible staff
