This restaurant was amazing. The food was all very good. Four of us came in on a Saturday night and were able to be seated withing about 5 minutes. They offered tasty drinks, quick service and great food. The Tenderloin of Wild Boar was very tasty. The only thing I would recommend is to make a reservation, at least a week in advance if you want to be guaranteed a seat. If you are looking for a unique, restaurant in Seattle, this is a must try.

I was in Seattle on business and a mixed goup of 8 of us decided toget some dinner. I had seen the "pink door" - yes, it's really pink - on our way to dinner a previous night and thought that it was some type of club that catered to men and was not sure I wanted to go. Once I got past the pink door, the experience was fabulous! the receptionist, was aloor but not rude but everyone else was just as friendly as they could be. Of course we went in with the idea that we were going to have a great time and so did. THe beet salad was exquisite and the lagasna was good. The portions were correctly sized (not so large you were wondering how to eat it all). The waiter that we had was very friendly with all of our group, as were all of the other patrons. I would *definately* go back!

Pros: Shows, service, and atmostphere

Cons: In an alley, has an actual pink door, parking is probably an issue (we walked).

the place is really cool laid-back environment with a really fun stage area which hosts some really interesting amateur type events - they had an open mic when i was there that was pretty hilarious. There is an outside which is nice during a sunny day. he ventilation system next door however is a bit loud. The food was nothing to write about. But i still recommend it for the atmosphere and location.

Pros: Outdoor patio, view, atmosphere

Cons: average unexciting food

On our recent trip to Seattle, my husband and I asked the man at the front desk of our hotel to recommend his favorite restaurant in Seattle. We wanted something special that the locals loved. He didn't hesitate and suggested The Pink Door. We were so grateful for his suggestion, because the meals were scrumptious, and the view was spectacular. The halibut appetizer was the most delicious fish that I have eaten in my life! The vegetarian lasagna was heavenly! The prawns, clams, and calamari in the tomato wine sauce were beyond yummy! Whenever you are in Seattle and at Pike Place Market, venture down Post Alley and enter in The Pink Door. You be delighted, just as we were!

Pros: Food, view, quaintness, local

Cons: sometimes too wet or cold to eat outside

I almost didn't go to this restaurant because of two or three recent negative reviews. I decided to drop by anyway to check the place out and look at the menu, see if the staff was really as rude as the reviewers reported. I am really glad that I decided to give it a chance, it was a truly superlative meal. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was excellent across the board. I live in New Orleans and am pretty tough on restaurants. This is a good place. I don't know what happened to cause these other reviewers to walk out, not get their food on time, run into rude servers etc., but that was not my experience.

Pros: The lasagna was great, friendly helpful staff

Cons: none observed

Love this place. Try the lasagna can't be beat. Great atmosphere, good people. If you get a chance to sit up on the patio and eat outside your going to love it. And the dessert tray is necessary.

Pros: food

Cons: none

It's an over-rated place with very slow service. We were there for almost an hour before we got to order our entrees. Then it took at least another 45 minutes before we got our food. The lasagna took so long that the waitress felt bad and it was on the house. Several of us had the cioppino, but I don't think any of us liked it. It was way too salty. The lamb porterhouse was decent, but the portion was too small to be worth over $20. The only positive thing is the view from the outdoor deck. We were there on a sunny evening and the water looked spectacular. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I will not go back again.

Pros: Outdoor deck

Cons: Lousy food, over-priced, slow service

We were told this is a Seattle must eat. We were greeted with rude service. While sitting at the shabby table, reading the menu, I decided this place is obviously arrogant and full of itself. I figured the food was probably over-rated and over-gourmetized, also. And left. I've been disappointed too many times before at other so-called gourmet eateries. This one had sham written all over it.

Pros: None that I saw

Cons: Place looked as inviting as the back alley door.

I've been to the Pink Door once for cocktails and fell in love with both the amazing cocktails and the atmosphere. It is a hidden gem, very cute and very elegant. What I love about their cocktails is that they are not super sugary, and they use real fruit puree and infusions. I had the pear martini, which was made with real pear juice and pear brandy, served with a pear slice on the side of the glass. My friend had a champagne cocktail with green apple infusion and both drinks were great. They weren't too sweet at all, but actually kind of dry and they both tasted like real fruit. I wanted to go back for Valentine's Day dinner with my boyfriend and did so last night. It was AWESOME. The service was specatular, we got a very nice table in the corner and they took our coats and hung them up for us. We were immediately give a drink menu and our cocktails that we ordered were fabulous and served promptly. I had an Angelica's Kiss (dry champagne with raspberry puree) and then a similar cocktail but with pomegranet, and my boyfriend had a "Tom Waits Was Here." They were great. We ordered the roasted garlic with blue cheese and ricotta appetizer, my boyfriend had the clam linguini, and I had their scallop special. We finished with their signature tiramisu for dessert (which is a large portion, and even with both of us sharing it we still had to take some home). It was all fabulous. The waiter was very attentive, but not too attentive. It was the PERFECT Valentine's Day dinner spot. We are looking forward to going back on a Saturday to check out their weekly burlesque show and sample some more of their cocktail menu

Pink Door offers pretty good Italian food with a view of the ocean. Although the food is not exceptional, it does please the palate. We had the antipasto which turned out a little too salty and too much of olive oil. The wine menu is average and the place caters to the tourist population in Seattle. I do not think I would go back for more.

Know Before You Go

The best way to find it is to follow street numbers closely. The pale pink door is on the west side of the alley; note the rooftop deck to the south.
