The Deli's deli

by itsteveg at Citysearch

Pamela is just an outstanding Deli for lunch or breakfast.

all your classic deli choices are there done to order, everything is fresh and clearly homemade I haven't seen one like this since I lived on the east coast.

The line can sometimes be long but it is truly worth the 10 minutes wait. More often then not it is better to take food back to your office, although there are a few sitting spots it is a tad difficult to eat on site, unless of course you can get one of the two outside tables which on a sunny day are just a great spot!

My personal favorite is "wayne's burger" made with homemade meatloaf I highly recommend that you try it.

Nothing beats this place for lunch but come early and don't forget your wallet this is a great lunch not a cheap one (average would be around $10)

  • Pros: Great fresh food, great selection, great people.
  • Cons: None worth mentioning

Places like this DO still exist

by dweibel at Citysearch

I was surprised to find this exceptional little deli two blocks away from my office. I've been working in the neighborhood a couple of years and thought I knew all the places around for lunch (Pacific Place/Westlake area). This is a great deli. The food is fresh, there is a terrific variety of choices, everything is homemade, from the muffins to the soups, and the prices are good, in $5-7 range. There is even a breakfast menu, which is rare around here. Topping it all off is the unique decor. The fixtures are circa 1930, but then decorated with produce boxs, olive oil and tomato cans and art posters, giving the place a coffee house, artsy feel. I feel like I have discovered a secret Seattle lunch spot, so I guess that is why I am taking the time to write a review so others will know too.
