Just gets better with age

I have been to this place a million times. It's always been a favorite place for me to shop, but over the past year it has taken on a whole new look. The antiques are fresh, the sales people are friendly and the shop itself has taken on a whole new presentation that is elegant and inviting. The front window reflects the store - choc full of really neat stuff. I can't imagine anyone walking in and not finding something they like. It's not only a fantastic place to visit , it's a fantastic place to frequent.
- Pros: values everywhere, parking, variety
Pride Ourselves in Customer Service
by aappowner

We are shocked to see the details in the review of June 12, 2008 - we have historically prided ourselves in our firendly service and desire to please our customers. As the owner of Antiques at Pike Place, I write this response after many hours of internal review and staff communication regarding customer service and it's importance. It is absolutely our goal to cater to repeat customers - this is a big part of our business, and we have repeat customers locally and around the U.S. and the world who fly in to shop at our store each year. Thanks for the feedback, and being specific on the date... it's this kind of feedback that will ensure we do not lose focus on our customers.
RUDE and Inconsiderate

Living locally, I've been in the shop before and have even made purchases. However, last Saturday I had a terrible experience and will never go back. I was ignored while waiting for service (for 10 minutes, in the same spot, while others who came in after me were asked "oh, can I help you find anything?") And then when I went out of my way to ask a salesperson about a mirror with no price tag, the answer was "well, if you can get it down without damaging it, they'll check the price for you." At that point, I said "I'll skip it then." On my way out I did mention that the service was well below par and the response was NOT "I'm sorry" or even "what happened?" it was "we're busy." Ironically, there was nobody in line, and two staff members standing up by the register, chatting. If there were a rating LOWER than 1 star, I would give it. I am completely disgusted and would warn everybody not to bother with this place. They don't count on repeat business, and so treat customers poorly.
- Pros: I could walk out
- Cons: Rude staff, frustrating experience, messy, dirty and crowded store.
Must Visit

This place is a ?must visit? when you are in the downtown area. Their card says ?The Biggest Little Mall in Town? and I have to say it truly is the coolest not-so-little shop in the down town area! The prices are reasonable and the selection is terrific, even eclectic, in places. The atmosphere is pleasant and quietly festive, and the staff certainly know their business. With ample parking nearby, this is where I start and end my shopping downtown. I finished my Christmas shopping, and it was all from this store!
- Pros: Ample parking, variety, atmosphere, price

Finally, a store for all tastes

A really nice little shop. The themes change quite often - the "Guy Case" is brilliant. The store is accessible and close to the market, so you can make a day of shopping and visiting Pike Place Market. It's a browsers paradise, but you'll always walk out with something you can't live without.
Antiques at its finest

This place has an unbelievable variety of modern, victorian and art deco. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the shop is well presented and clean. The entrance display window alone is worth the visit! As you walk in you see cases of high-quality jewelry reasonably priced. The entrance is deceiving as the shop looks somewhat small upon entry, but as you walk beyond the jewelry cases at the front you see a large floor with everything from furniture to small collectibles to early American quilts to that eclectic one-of-a-kind. You could get lost for hours in this place every week, and still find something new each time.
- Pros: Variety, Friendly, Quality, Display
Many different vendors, fun to look around by Michelle Q. at InsiderPages

I love to poke around this antique shop. They have a variety of different vendors and while I am not much of an antiquer, I enjoy looking at the booths and seeing things that I used to have as a child or things I remember my mother or grandmother having. You can lose yourself in nostalgia here. As with any antique store, be careful and know what you're looking for and how much you should spend on something.

The next time youre in Pike Place Market, swing by this antique mall. Its huge and chock full of vendors selling vintage and antique clothing, jewelry, and even furniture. Ive found many unique gifts here (such as an old Japanese inlaid box with a hidden spring switch for opening), and its a great place to go to find an old alligator handbag or recently come- back- into-vogue item without worrying about having to pay a fortune or doing harm to more animals.

I found Antiques at Pike Place on a fluke when looking for an army patch. When I walked in I found an old sword that someone had just brought in. The staff knows their stuff and if you can't find it, leave them the description as they will call when they get new things in.
