Pleasant experience overall

by verbeach at Citysearch

This was our first trip to Seattle, and this hotel was in our price range and close to most attractions we were interested in. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the housekeeping service was prompt and thorough. Our view was of a side wall of the Hyatt, but we weren't staying there for the view anyway! The restaurant was so loud on Friday night that it made my head hurt, but when we went back for Sunday brunch, it was lovely. All of the staff I dealt with were very nice, except for one man at the front desk that seemed incredulous that I would have a question for him.m All in all, a nice first experience with this hotel chain. We would definitely go back.

  • Pros: location, price, staff

Th convenient location in the heart of downtown's shopping district make this hotel a popular corporate destination.

by Contributor at Citysearch

In Short
Built in 1996, the Paramount Hotel offers 146 comfortable rooms and a convenient location for exploring downtown. It's within two blocks of the Washington State Convention Center, Paramount Theatre, downtown shopping and Nordstorm's flagship store. The lobby is relatively small with a large marble fireplace. Rooms are conservatively decorated in neutral colors with executive suites adding jetted tubs and downtown views. Computer data ports and work areas in each room will satisfy business travelers' needs.

Wonderful for his resting and her shopping!

by jashleigh at Citysearch

We had a terrific stay! Our Yorkies were greeted and welcomed as well as we were. Shopping was so close and convenient. Accommodations were cozy, comfy and welcoming! Locations for walking our pups were convenient and well lit. Staff was courteous and prompt with fulfilling all requests. We would stay there again in a heart beat! We lucked out with a parking promotion.

We had a fantastic time!

by dempsi at Citysearch

We had tickets to a concert on Friday night and decided to book a room and stay. The room was very comfortable with great views of the city and the staff were very friendly. Dragonfish was an excellent choice for dinner before the show - they knew we had tickets and made sure that we were there on time. Saturday we walked to the Market and shopped everywhere in between. I'm already thinking about staying there for a weekend of Christmas Shopping!

  • Pros: Close to everything , Friendly Staff, Great view rooms

Top Notch Hotel

by mullarky at Citysearch

The staff of the Paramount Hotel is top notch. Being a smaller hotel I felt like I was important to them as opposed to being a number when I stay at some of the larger chains. The bathroom amenities were fabulous. Finally, having an award-winning restaurant down stairs was fabulous. A stay at the Paramount Hotel and dining at the Dragaonfish Café was truly a memorable experience.

Phenomenal!

by gocougs@comcast.net at Citysearch

I love staying at the boutique hotels where they really do know my name! This hotel is a prime example. My wife was amazed that I found such a nice hotel (huh?). Besides the hotel, we had a great time in downtown- had a great dinner at Mortons Steak House, then saw Lion King. No need for a cab- we walked every where.

I will stay here again. No doubt about it.

A favorite destination

by notsparks at Citysearch

As a local, I rarely find the need for a hotel downtown, but on the rare occasion, the Paramount is the place for me. With easy access to virtually everything downtown has to offer, comfortable rooms, and excellent value this is one hotel I would highly recommend! And if you're ever in Portland, they have an amazing sister property there!

Ref'd by friend, Awesome Hotel

by John_anonomous at Citysearch

A friend told me about this hotel. What a find!! The room was nice, and I enjoyed having the advantage of walking to most places I needed to be. The restaurant was a bit slow, and could use some education on what service is. Besides that, I will also be recomending this hotel.

  • Pros: Hotel, rooms, bellman- Tom?
  • Cons: restaurant, slow, service
