The last I heard, the jellyfish and even Mr. Puffer Fish had packed their trunks and headed south to live in a real aquarium. I have lived in Seattle my whole life, but I can say for sure, this aquarium has to be our biggest embarrassment of all. There isn't anything of substance here to look at. It's small, boring, and banal. Go up to Canada's Stanley Park and see their aquarium or down to SF's Golden Gate Park's aquarium. Seattle's aquarium is a big MISNOMER.

Know Before You Go

In the discovery lab, kids can touch starfish and sea sponges. They'll also enjoy the wet-suit corner, where they can pretend to be scuba divers before heading to the underwater dome to watch divers feed fish daily at 1:30pm.
