My wife and read about El Greco in Seattle Magazine and we've been making a point to try all the top-rated breakfast spots. I ordered the garlic sausage frittata and my wife ordered the french toast of the day (a specialty at El Greco). My frittata was made with egg whites (because I am allergic to egg yolks) and I was happy that I didn't have to order it with Egg Beaters. My fritatta, while not traditional, was great. It was coated in a light cheese (can't remember the type but it wasn't the typical Jack or Cheddar) and it had slices of this garlic-chicken sausage that is probably a local product (maybe Isernio's?). The toast was made from an Italian rustic bread (I think) and it too was awesome. My wife had the french toast which was served with a blueberry compote(?) and creme' fresh butter, unbelievable! Definitely the best french toast I've ever had, possibly the best breakfast I've ever had and I eat out A LOT. The french toast was slightly crispy on the edges with just the pefect texture in the middle. My wife also ordered the bacon which, I was told, was cut at the restaurant so it was slightly thick and very flavorful. The waitress was attentive and quick and she seemed to know most of the other patrons. We will definitely be back.
Pros: food, creativity, service
