Finally understand the line.. I often drove by this location and decided I couldn't bring myself to wait inline for food despite hearing how great it was. I finally was persauded to wait and am glad I did, even though I did have to wait in line for nearly a half hour on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon around 2 pm. The hours make it hard to get in to this restuarant and perhaps also increase the demand as they are closed on Sundays. Thankfully there is now a 2nd location in Ballard. I hear they even run out of sandwhiches some days. Street parking is the only option and the dining area is super small so be prepared to get your food to go and eat sitting on the street. Menu is now available online so it might be a good idea to figure out what you want before you go, so you don't make the wait longer for others. I personally enjoyed the tofu sandwhich, the carmelized onions are scrumptious, I definetely think I need extra next time. My friend recommends the prawns, but everyone seems to have a favorite. Plan accordingly.

Great take-out restaurant. After we waited in a line for ~ 40 minutes, we got our sandwiches to go because there was no place to sit. Although, even if there had been a place to sit, I'm not sure I would want to sit there. There was a constant draft from the open door and it just felt a little messy in terms of cleanliness. Good if your down for a hearty messy sandwich, but I'm not too into the idea of sautéed onions dripping down my chin and sopping up the oils and sauces with the wet wipes they have available. I had to find out what all the rave was about, but it was a good sandwich overall, just not the greatest if you're turned off with greasy food. I ordered the aioli sauce on the side (just to try), and when we got home, I blotted the onions from my chicken breast sandwich and saved half for another meal. My husband got the classic pulled pork and THAT was a MESSY sandwich! Good overall, but not the best sandwich place I've eaten at.

Awesome. This hole in the wall place serves up the best cuban pork sandwiches I've ever had. Every trip back to seattle involves a visit to Paseo

best place to grub!. The most amazing sandwiches ever! Definitely one of the best hidden local spots in Seatle. I love the tofu sandwich... and you definitely can't beat the prices!

Midnight Cuban sandwich is EXCEPTIONAL! In the area? Paseo is definately a must!. I was there a few weeks ago because I was visiting Seattle and had read the rave reviews this place had gotten. I have to say that the Midnight Cuban was the most phenomenal sandwich EVER! I was literally at a loss for words. The next time I go to Seattle, I will be there at least once a day! The guy taking the order was a little cocky but that awesome sandwich made me forget all about that (enough that I'd go back). There are only about 6 small tables in the restaurant so I wouldn't plan on eating there Iif there you're lucky you can maybe get a table) but you can always take it to go. If you are going to be anywhere near this place, you have to make sure that you go and get a Midnight Cuban!

If they ever go public, I would sell every other stock I have and buy buy buy into this franchise!!!. Listen, I have had great customer service at the food was marginal at best. Paseo's is simply the best food in town period! Listen if youwant to make an impression on a hot lady, go to Icon or some other trendy spot get her all tipsy on wine and drinks. But if you want some good food or a place to take out-of town friends on a casual Saturday you go to Paseo. enjoy an eccletic group of people, stand in line make good conversation and then prepare to enjoy an incredible sandwhich or meal. I would say yougotta have the garlic baguette thingy and onions and more onions. I havebeen a faithful customer since it first opened and youcould only get a half chicken with incredible black beans, a salad and corn that would make you eat the husk if possible.

now the menu has grown...... a lot but if you are a first timer i say begin how paseo began with a half chicken. you will be back many many more times to enjoy the rest but start there!

Oh and as far as customer service goes....... I don't care how you treat me just dont make me waste my money and time. I havenever regretted having to go get cash not once and everytime I go i leave satisfied. get the sticks out your butts and just let some thing slide. Have you seen how they work back there?

Best Sandwiches - not so good on service. I have the same rave reviews of the sandwiches as everyone else. I drive way out of my way at least a few times a month for these delicious sandwiches. But... as others have pointed out, they really need to improve on customer service. I usually go for lunch because the few times I came there after 5p, they were out of bread. Not sure how you run out of bread when you sell sandwiches, and from reading other reviews, it seems this is the norm for this place. Seriously, how hard is it to order more bread. I would love for someone who works there to reply to all these postings on this issue. Lastly, I would say it's 50/50 on if the staff there is in a good mood and treats you decently or decides to be rude and chat away with other coworkers with the line out the door.

I do have to sum up that the sandwiches are great or I wouldn't keep going back, but it would be nice to feel like they wanted customers as opposed being annoyed that you are there sometimes.

CALL AHEAD: Out of sandwiches too often!. I did manage to get one sandwich the past 4 times I tried. It was wonderful and worth the long wait. But as a previous reviewer said, call ahead!

Worth the wait. We arrived at Paseo shortly after it started snowing to find it so crowded that people were waiting outside in the snow for their food. After we ordered and started waiting ourselves, more and more people just kept filing in, and the prospect of a wait and nowhere to sit didn't discourage anyone. I can completely understand why.

I am comfortable in saying that Paseo has the best sandwiches in the city. I will happily return and wait again just to keep experiencing them. The meat was cooked to perfection, the caramelized onions delicious. They had just the right amount of heat. One sandwich by itself was enough to satisfy, and for a very good price.

The only real problem is if you want to dine in, you might have trouble getting a table. The restaurant is very small, with about enough room to sit less than a dozen people. It seemed like people tended to clear out as soon as they were done eating, so the people waiting could grab a place to sit by the time their food came out. But it would be better if you plan for take out.

The staff were friendly and had a good attitude despite the crowds. The same could be said for the customers, which created a warm, relaxed atmosphere.

Not recommended for people who don't like crowds, waiting, or messy food. For those of us who like fun and good food, trying Paseo is a must.
