Yeah, so i drove by the place where Fremont Classic used to be and there is some other Italian food place has opened up there. Maybe they changed the name, but it's definitely not Fremont Classic. Just thought I'd let you know.
Great from start to finish!

We've considered Fremont Pizza one of our favorite places for years now. There is no where else in Seattle to enjoy such a solid, tasty Italian menu at such reasonable prices. For a few visits over the past years, we did experience the occasional off night, where the pizza flavor seemed to be missing something, or 1 visit where the service was so atrocious I ended up emailing the restaurant to complain.
We noticed last night when we visited that the place has been taken over by a longtime employee, while the original owner has moved on to explore different venues. With this change of management seems to have also brought a correction to any inconsistencies. Everything about our experience was right on - From being seated promptly and courteously, to fast, but not overbearing service (our server was OUTSTANDING). The food was excellent from appetizer (calamari di friti with red pepper and garlic aioli that is so wonderful, we wiped the container with the last piece of calamari as if it were a spatula), spinach salad with glazed walnuts, our favorite pizza with perfectly flavored sauce, great beer, great fresh coffee, and last but certainly the BEST in Seattle - Their fresh Tiramisu (moist, with delicious chunks of chocolate in each bite).
All at decent prices. YUM. :)
best italian in Fremont!

Fremont Classic is hands down my favorite restaurant, ever. The food is amazing. I always have a tough time deciding what to order, because everything is so good! I especially recommend going on a weeknight. They have a great weeknight special where you pay I think $15, which includes starter salad, entree, and dessert. What a deal! Some of the portions are a little on the small side, but with the weekday special it totally makes up for it, because it costs less than usual and you get all the extras as well. I especially recommend the creme caramel for dessert. It's too die for!
- Pros: great food!
Great service, so-so food

Forewarning -- I'm not a big italian fan, don't usually eat out in Italian restaurants, but had been wanting to try this place.
Our server and watergirl(?) were both great. They were all out of seafood, which we had wanted, but we tried the squash ravioli and another pasta dish a try. They were mediocre, not melt-in-my mouth, wow, I can't believe the flavors fabulous or anything. Good food, by all means, but my problem was with their pricing. The atmosphere is casual, cozy, comfortable... the food was decent... I have a hard time paying a $60 bill after a small salad, 2 glasses of wine, and 2 entrees, in a place like this.
Just my 2 cents.
Great food but..

The pizza was alright, however, the pasta, mushroom and mussel were great. The service that I had during my current visit was so terrible. Usually during the weekday, the manager/ owner (the nice lady) serves us with great enthusiasm. However, last Friday/ Saturday, she wasnt there and that a bigger/est body size waitress worked there. She was so rude and totally unprofessional and thinks that she owns the place or something. Seriously.. what the heck?!
Another thing, Im not sure if it only happened to us, but every time (3 out of 3 times) we came back from the pizza place, well have an upset stomach (note that I came with different groups each times and that they told me the same thing). .
- Pros: Great foods, fast order arrival and parking
- Cons: Bad bad horrible Service, Stomach Upset
My Favorite

I've been enjoying the Classic since it opened 16 or so years ago. I love it. The food gets better and better. The desserts are outstanding. The service is great. Everything is original and delicious in this restaurant. The tiramisu, especially when they make it with strawberries is wonderful as are the cheese cakes. They do a wonderful job with seafood and have great specials. There is a wild mushroom pizza on the menu which is one of my favorites and I love to go there for lunch. If you have special food needs or want to design your own pizza or pasta, they will accomodate you.
Not What We Were Expecting

My boyfriend and I went here after hearing all of the rave reviews and were very disappointed. We were ignored when we walked in and then waited 15 minutes before someone even came to take our drink order (and that was after we asked to be served)! The prices were much higher than I was expecting and the portions were small. The food was the restaurants only redeeming quality.
- Pros: Great Food
- Cons: Bad Service, Small Portions
Great Deal and friendly fun service

My SO and I ate here for the first time last Friday. We found this place on city search by searching for $ and Italian Food. What a gem, the praises are much warranted. This tiny little place (we were told it used to be much smaller) may have a wait, but be patient. It is worth it. I highly recommend the clussels (mussels and clams) and the chocolate mousse. I had the polenta and mushroom lasagna and it was fantastic too. We paid $42 (not tip) for 1/2 bottles of wine (+ 2 more glasses) an appetizer, 2 entrees and desert. What a deal! Enjoy!
- Pros: Price, Flavor , Lots of Vegetarian
- Cons: Bit Crowded
Great lunch deals and outside patio
by birdnerd
Have eaten there for lunch three times in the last couple months and thoroughly enjoyed it. They have three regular specials for $5,$6 & $7 plus daily specials. It's all good - but the pasta dishes are SOOOO delicious. Sit on the patio outside.
- Pros: Great Italian, Shady Patio, Lunch Deals
I LOVE FREMONT CLASSIC

Cheescake...it's all about the cheesecake!
In all seriousness, this little gem of a restaurant provides an amazingly refreshing atmosphere, fancy and romantic if you wish, or casual if you prefer. The staff is kind and inviting, the food is excellent with a menu that changes with the seasons, so there is always something new to look forward to. Regardless of the many times I've eaten there, I still have trouble deciding what to order when I go, and I usually order much too much, but I'm thrilled at lunch the next day. Oh, and did I mention the cheesecake?
- Pros: Friendly, Affordable, Patio
