Superb Thai

I thought I was bored with Thai food, but this place is great. I'm a big fan of pumpkin, and their pumpkin curry is excellent. We went with a big group, and nearly everything was 5-star delicious. My new favorite Thai in Seattle.

Best Thai in the US IMHO

My wife and I make it to Seattle every 12-14 months to visit family and sightsee. This has become one of our favorite places to eat while we are in town. The food and service are always top notch if you like rice dishes you should try the Tawon Thai fried rice if you like noodles the Pad THai is very hard to beat. Unless you are starving hungry most of the entrees can be shared between two adults. My wife and I alway order our own entree so that we have some leftovers to eat the next day for lunch.

• Pros: Amazing Food, Friendly Serivce, Clean Bathrooms
• Cons: No Parking

Great food

I've been there for a few times. The food was always good. I highly recommend Phad Thai and Crab Meat Fried Rice, which uses real crab meat!

In a sea of Thai - my favorite

How 734 Thai restaurants in Fremont alone stay in business is beyond me...but Tawon Thai is my favorite. Maybe because it has so much seating there is almost never a wait. Or because the lunch special includes Pad Thai plus something else for tasty variety. It's good for a casual date too, because you aren't crowded in with a bunch of strangers trying to impress your girl. Oh, and green curry is awesome.

Great Thai Food and Quick Service

We've dined at many of the Thai restaurants in Fremont and throughout Seattle. We stumbled on Tawon Thai by accident last summer and I'm so glad we did. It beats its competitor across the street hands down, not only in food quality but also in the quality and speed of the service. (A recent call to the nearby competitor revealed an hour wait just for takeout -- a trip across the street to Tawon Thai and we had our food in our hands less than 10 minutes after walking in and ordering.)

The food has been fantastic every time we've eaten there. The mini-spring rolls are crunchy and hot, the pad thai is excellent and has the perfect proportion of noodles to bean sprouts, unlike some restaurants where you get more sprout than noodle. The massaman curry is great; the vegetables are cooked through but not overdone and the flavor of the curry is that elusive blend of spicy and sweet.

The service is quick and friendly, both with takeout and dining in.

Tawon Thai is our new favorite Thai restaurant!

Best Thai in Fremont

With all the Thai restaurants to choose from in Fremont this is the best place. They always have a great soup they bring to you when you are seated. There lunch menu has a lot of choices all for under $8 plate. I always order the grilled chicken breast on a bed of spinach with lime sauce. The ambiance is very soothing. Staff can be short with you, but it may be that they are very busy.

Prefer over the competition across the street

The price is higher than we normally would pay for, the noodle not as greasy as first thought, the service was better than the one across the street which went way south once they expanded. We would come back when we're in the area and gage its authenticity to Bangkok.

Tawon Thai in Fremont is the best!!

Fremont is blessed with many a thai restaurant but Tawon is by far our favorite!!! The food is always yummy and we get the phad thai all of the time.. its NEVER been gross as mentioned in the comment above! But occasionally the spicyness will vary from evening to evening. (we eat there alot!) :o)

All I can say is YUM!!! I really think you can go wrong at Tawon ~ the staff is so sweet and friendly, always very attentive. and the dining space is calm, quiet and beautiful. I love it!

i go to tawon thai quite frequently and am never disappointed. staff is very friendly and great with kids and special requests.
