Thank you for bring the King back...
by j3samual at Citysearch
I have got to give a "HUGE" thank you Mr. Price for bring Tino Casanova back! This is to all the people of Seattle and all of the beverage connoisseurs like myself, Tino is the man, however you will be confused by the frenzy of all of the ladies lined up at the bar now if you can wade through the heartthrobs, Tino will treat you like family. Please call to find out his schedule for I can never figure out when he works. I think he was trained by Mer the blur. Trust me he got it!
- Pros: crab sand.
- Cons: none
THEY RIP YOU OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by utah98134 at Citysearch
We were there celebrating a friend of a friends birthday. They rented the big room in the back. I was the "DD" and ordered some drinks for the birthday boy. When I was getting my bill, they added an additional drink on my tab. I asked about it and they said they did not make a mistake... as they were doing shots with another customer. I was not drinking and sober. Screw them. In addition to that, I received another payment on my card two weeks after the fact. That's when I decided to post this review. I have the receipt, too! Since they added an extra drink, I left a cash tip of just a couple of bucks. Apparently they think its their right to get a tip. I'm angry and already notified the b e t t e r b u s i n e s s b u r e a u. I'm NEVER going there again. I guess that's what you get for being the DD. @#$%@%@ %@$holes!!!
- Pros: none
- Cons: not hawaiian.. horrible people
Will exceed your expectations!

This was the opening act. Reserved the Bora Bora Room for my son's wedding rehearsal dinner; ordered the Ahi sesame sticks, tropical chicken, fried rice, shrimp salad, beef ribs and topped it off with the Mai Tai splash and Coronitas. What a phenomenal spread of food...tasty, plentiful, well presented. So glad we had some leftovers. Jessica, we will definitely be back in touch. Can't wait to introduce this fine restaurant to others. DRios.
- Pros: Quaint, private dining option, tasty bite size meals, service level
- Cons: parking limited

Hurray for the Luau!
I had not been to the Luau in years and I am happy to report that it is better then ever! The original owners are back and while it?s still a rowdy bar it?s a great place to bring the whole family. Kids are welcome and my 3 boy and they had a great time. The staff is friendly and the food is great and easy on my wallet. I can?t wait to go back!
- Pros: great for kids
- Cons: parking is tough
A playful take on South Pacific cuisine.

In Short
Polynesian ambience with a neighborhood sensibility: This cozy space still manages room for a bar, replete with a thatched-roof lounge where folks quench their thirst with the funky Hawaiian-themed cocktails. The usual assortment of mai tais, pina coladas and other fruity concoctions are well represented, and the menu includes a large selection of pupu platters, flaming desserts and entrees like sesame- and plum-crusted ahi and jerk chicken.
Good for happy hour

Happy hour here last something like 5 hours and is good for tropical-esque drinks and cheap pupus (fried food). I come here in the late afternoon with friends when we feel like getting sort of sloshed, especially on weekends, or when the grey Seattle days are getting me down. It's nothing spectacular, and pretty much exactly what you expect, so go with that in mind and you won't be disappointed.
Cute place, but...

We booked the Bora Bora room for a birthday party. The room is very festive, and the punchbowls of cocktails kept the party going stong. The disappointing part was the lack of service. The waiter who was responsible for our party spent most of the evening at the bar. I kept having to go out to find him to ask him for anything. If you decide to book the room, insist upon a server who will take care of the party.
- Pros: festive, unique atmosphere; unusual food, pleasant location
- Cons: apathetic service (in Bora Bora Room)
I can't wait to go back to the Luau!

The Luau is a great place to unwind after a long work week. The tiki motif and easy going atmosphere makes anyone feel welcome. The staff are friendly and go above and beyond to make you feel at home, and the food is great. Even when I go there not planning to eat, I always end up ordering the Rock Shrimp dumplings because they are that good. Otherwise it's all about the Kaha Mai Tai. It has to be the perfect drink to start off a fun night. Hope to see you there!
Amazing food and great people

Every time me and my roomies have been to the Luau, we have had such a great experience. Seriously, the food is excellent and if you have a fancy for Pina Colada's (like myself), you definitely need to try theirs! Aside from the yummy dishes, the people that work there are stellar. I have had such great experiences in relating to the owner and staff. They are a super friendly and giving group of people that make the overall experience really enjoyable and worth heading back for. Definitely check this one out! (By the way, their "happy hour" is from 12-6!!!)
