I kept hearing over the years how great this place is. Well, I finally got a try of one of their giant burrittos. I was severely disappointed. It may be healthy and the ingredients certainly were fresh but it was not a taste treat in the least. Bland stuff rolled in a gummy tortilla. While a few of the Mexican restaurants in Seattle match those great ones that I've eaten in in Mexico, California, Texas and even Washington, DC, this place doesn't even come close to passable.
Pros: I'm no longer anxious to find out what the hub-bub is about...been there couldn't figure it out
Cons: Bad tasting food.

This place is Really Really good. The food is excellent, but the Quality is even better, which is still not as good as the price! Its all made fresh, and they even give you chips while you wait in line (for to go orders too!). The place is large, and great for holding events.
Pros: Quality, Service, Price, Portions!
Cons: Sometimes Parking is tight, but I've always found a spot even when the line is out the door!

I've been a Gordito's fan for years, so perhaps I'm biased. It certainly can be up and down, however, lately they seem to be on an upswing. If you want a solid meal for a very reasonable price, you can't beat this. The portions are obscene, so...share them. The carne asada plate is a great dish to share and I just had my best ever at Gordito's. The wet fish burrito, which comes with salsa verde and not the standard red sauce, is excellent. The marinated fish is incredibly flavorful, but yes, perhaps over-seasoned. If you want subtlety, go somewhere else.
Cons: Parking is tough

Come on people these burritos are nothing special. Big yes, but unbelievably over hyped. If you’re looking for a filler overdose and a stomach ache, you’ve come to the right place! How can they claim this is healthy Mexican food when their burritos could suffocate a small child? Quantity is far from Quality.
Cons: Unhealty serving size, Slow service

The staff is always friendly and serves you as quick as possible. Some Fri and Sat nights the line is out the door. The parking is really tight especially if you have a large vehicle or even a mid-size. You can order a large burrito and definately have leftovers for lunch the next day. The carne asada burrito is AWESOME and the chicken is good as well. The regular size burrito will probably still give you leftover sthe next day and only costs around $6. The restaurant is a self-serve, homey place, and extremely warm in the summer, though there is an outside patio in the back. There is a great salsa bar. You are expected to clear your own table, and there are to-go boxes if you need to pack up. It's part of keeping the costs low. Love it!
Pros: Cheap, filling meal.
Cons: Bad parking lot.

OK, it might not be authentic, true mexican food, but man. If I can feed 4 people for $10 (grande burrito, wet and fajita style no doubt) I am a happy camper. Also happy to find Manny's on tap. Keep up the good work! Happy to have the Queen Anne location!

The burritos rock! Make sure to get chips and salsa too. Oh and talk to the locals they're all super friendly. Marni the owner always has a smile on her face!
Pros: Call your order in and avoid the long lines!
Cons: Musics too loud.

Yes, we weighed take-out burritos once, and yes, they weighd 2.5 pounds. That's for a regular burrito, wet of course. Burritos are definately the main attraction. Be aware that most other options come with the same beans and rice as the burrito, so some taste very similar. Salsa/sauces are made in house and on rare occasion it's been a little bland, but the salsa bar can fix that. As far as dining in, yes, it's loud. Go during off hours and it's reasonable, call in an order to go at rush hours-and jump to the front of the line to pick up. The back patio is open during the summer, though small. Beer is great, supplied by a local U-brew (Gallaghers in Edmonds). They aren't open Tuesdays, and take a month over the holidays-the entire place closes down. Visit the new Queen Anne location, 1507 Queen Anne N
Pros: Tasty, Cheap, Fresh
Cons: Parking, Closed Tuesdays, Busy

The burritos are grossly huge, but yummy enough that you don't really care. The salsa bar is the highlight of this restaurant. Bring your earplugs, because they CRANK UP the tunes!
Pros: Yummy, cheap food
Cons: Too-loud musica
