I don't know why someone would ever say that a solitary woman wouldn't be safe in the Buck. That's probably the safest place to be at night. Frankly, sometimes people think it might be a gay bar because there's so many men, and so few women. Speaking first hand, it's DEFINATELY NOT a gay bar, but everyone's welcome....any race, nationality, or sexual preference. It's a great place.....and yes, they still have .25 cent hot dog Mondays.....(and free pool on Sunday!)
Pros: great people
Cons: long line for pool, no parking in back

It's smoky and it's filled with real Harley guys and it's a great place to play some pool in your jeans. The booths are full of scratched-in messages, many of them quite funny...it's the kind of place where it's ok to carve your name into the table, or at least it seems like it.

Fun place to shoot some pool and drink cheap beer. About as beat-down as a bar can look... check out the wildly graffiti'd booths. This is the bar that the kid from "Third Rock From the Sun" goes to in the movie "Ten Things I Hate About You."
