Unpleasant and disorganized

I have gone here several times, as they are the only gig in town. Without fail, I find the two owners very unpleasant, never a smile on their face or even a 'hello' when you walk in. In addition, without fail, they can never find my shoes (same routine EVERY time - they look in a corners of that extremely messy place, talk low to one another, looking at the tag I gave them, come over and ask me what I had done, then finally find them - it's comedy routine material, really.) Then sometimes the work isn't done at all, or not done correctly. I really would excuse all of this if it wasn't for the fact that they are so unpleasant, less than helpful in figuring out how best to work your shoes (they seem to feel it is too much work to even lean down to feel how your shoes feel around your feet if you say they are too tight and just sort of mumble their answer). If you even dare to look away or reach into your bag for your wallet, they disappear. This happens every time. There is another shop in Fremont and one in the U Village, so I'll definitely be going there from now on, despite the increased distance. I've given these guys many chances, and again would excuse the shoddy work and disorganization if it wasn't for the fact that they are so unpleasant. I even love the fact that they don't take credit cards, as that shows that they are a small, independent business who wants to reduce costs, which is what I prefer to frequent. But they are lucky that cobblers aren't that common. They should take off a weekend and organize that place, maybe that would put a smile on their face.

Pros: convenience

Cons: disorganized, unpleasant owners, poor service, shoddy work
