Curt provided great service!

I went to Teletron last week with a jammed VCR tape. I spoke to Curt over the phone before I went in and he provided some hints so I hopefully I wouldn't have to come in. Unfortunately none worked so I went in a few days later. I explained that I had a long drive so they offered to look at the problem while I was there. Turns out it was a simple issue and it resolved itself once the old tape was removed. They did not charge me for taking the tape out. You can't find better service! Thanks Curt!
Prompt in-home repair under Sony Extended Warranty

I called Teletron to provide a repair under Sony's recall/extended warranty for a 3year old LCD TV. They ordered the part, came to my home and replaced it promptly. A competing service wanted $90 just to come to home to verify it was the recall issue. Couldn't ask for more.
Great Service

I brought my TV to them, they quoted a price, they estimated when the repair would be finished, and I put down a small deposit. The quoted price was spot on and the repair was finished by the date they estimated. My TV (a Sony Wega Flat Panel CRT) has worked like new ever since. I had a great experience.
- Pros: Honest estimates and turnaround times on repairs.
- Cons: Home repair/pickup is an option, but rather pricy.

Similar to the other reviewer on this page, I also found Teletron's service to be very rude and unhelpful. I'm really sorry I took my TV to be repaired by them, they took way too long and left me feeling frustrated and angry at every turn. Stay away from this company if you know what's good for you.
Poor, Rude communication, too long to repair

I was referred to Teletron through the Best Buy extended warranty I had on my TV set. First appointment: they came in and took down the serial number and left. I could have given them my serial # instead of taking time off from work to meet with them. Note as well that they didn't ask for a repro of the issue.
They then took my set and I didn't hear back from them for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks I had to phone them and when I phoned the guy said "if the tv was fixed, we would have contacted you". Talk about poor customer service.
Anyway, I found out they *just* got the parts in they needed. After 3 1/2 weeks, out of the blue I got a call saying they are dropping off my set that day. Why didn't they call ahead so that I could plan my schedule around it? I finally got my set back and guess what? It is just as busted as when they took it.
Another update: they call me this morning to pick up the tv, they leave their number but not a name on the message and I call them back and they say "no one recalls calling you this morning" as if it's my problem. Do they want me to play the message for them? Just another example of the lousy, rude customer service. I've complained to the warranty company and am no longer using this company.

Terriffic Service - always!

I've used Teletron for many different repair jobs I've had over the course of about ten years. They have never disappointed me. Whatever the job, be it a TV, a tape deck, a VCR they have always come through with a fine job at a reasonable price and they've had the job done when they said they would. I even bring things back to them from my new home in Palm Springs so they can work on them. There's nothing like them to equal them anywhere that I've found.

After being referred to them by my TV's manufacturer for warranty service on a brand new set, I have had nothing but trouble with Teletron. First they couldn't pick up the TV for 2 weeks, then after a week with no word from them I call to find out they just ordered a part I told them was broken in the first place. Can I get an ETA? Of course not. Then another week goes by and I am forced to call again, only to be met with a rude and obnoxious person who is absolutely caustic with me. And still no ETA can be provided. Well can I have the set back as this is not what I agreed to? No because they "have disassembled it and it's all in pieces." I'm sure glad I'm not paying these guys and have already filed a complaint with my sets manufacturer.
