FAST and Tasty Delivery

by jt5472

I guess the people that wrote those reviews seem a little intolerant of "hippies," and I am by no means one... but I loved this pizza. Great thin crust, awesome sauce, and I got my pizza delivered in less than 30 minutes (which for a Thursday night was awesome). I got the Greek pizza and they totally hooked up the toppings as well.

  • Pros: Fast delivery, pizza was hot and delicious
  • Cons: none

Dough is truly bad

by toferm

I've ordered two pizzas in the past from Mad, which I picked up myself. The toppings and sauce are reasonably good, but the dough they use is horrible. I've try placing slices into my toaster oven at home in order to crisp it up, but I usually end up using the dough as plate for my toppings. It really does ruin the pizza.

  • Pros: Location, quick if picked up
  • Cons: Dough/crust makes it a horrible pizza

Worst Pizza EVER!!

by fledie2004

In a city of bad pizza, Mad Pizza lowers the bar to a new low. We ordered delivery. It took over an 1 and 1/2 to deliver a cold pizza. The pizza itself tasted like a wonder bread topped with american cheese and corn oil. All this for $30 (1 pizza + small container of lettuce and croutons).

When I called to complain that we received a cold pizza the person that answered the phone said "OK" and hung up.

Best to stick with Zeeks or Bambinos.

  • Pros: None
  • Cons: Everything. I am not exaggerating. Everything from pizza to service.

The pies are crazy good at this First Hill pizza depot.

by Contributor

The Scene
It's not quite pizza madness, although this pizzeria claims to be "committed." The pies are good and are handled by an unfailingly cheerful staff. Join the hip young crowd showing off their piercings and tattoos while waiting for their orders. Or dash in for a slice at lunch, then sit back and have fun watching the other customers.

The Food
Toppings range from classic pepperoni to a combination of Granny Smith apples, oranges and cashews on "Sybil's Breakdown." Best for omniivores are the "Prozac Pie" (sausage, pepperoni, salami, etc) and the spicy "Smokin' Chicken" (BBQ chicken, red peppers and feta on a garlic-ricotta sauce). Veggie lovers get plenty of love too, with nine specialty pizzas including the simple-but-great "Institutional Classic" (tomato, basil and roasted garlic on an olive oil base).

Great for a quick slice

by northofhere

I came here for dinner and the person working was extremely helpful and attentive. They had many pizzas by-the-slice available to chose from, varying in price from $2 to $2.75 [estimate]. Pizza was very good; I got a slice of pepperoni [sauce actually tasted like tomato! wow] and a slice of pesto. Both were excellent. Will definitely come by again!

  • Pros: service, price, selection

Veggies in Heaven!

by pongojones

Lunch at Mad Pizza is the best! 2 slices and a drink for about $6. You walk in and they have about 8 or 9 pizzas, half of which are vegetarian!!! The pizzas change daily depending on what they feel like putting on them. You can always order one of their "Standard" pies, but the variety in their daily offerings is great. Did I mention there are usually 4 or 5 vegetarian options?!?! The salads are also very good, as are the breadsticks. I'm not sure about their no low-carb crust (are they using it on their by-the-slice pizza? because the crust seems weird sometimes). Staff is very friendly. GREAT PLACE!

  • Pros: vegetarian goods, pizza variety, staff

Not good times

by sugarfemme23

I ordered a delivery based on the other reviews on this website. The person who took it was very nice and patient since I did not know what they had he had to explain two different pizzas to me. The guy was here in good to average time. So far not so bad. Pizza was soggy, and not good. Did have lots of topping though. Sauce tastes odd, kinda like cleaner. Got the order wrong, and the extra sodas were wrong also. For this I paid $30! For 1 pizza and 4 sodas. I would have spent less at a chain store. Maybe Dominoes isn't gourmet, but it never varies.

  • Pros: Bad sauce, very expensive, wrong order
  • Cons: , delivery on time

Yummy!

by hanishas

I often eat at MAD pizza, and it is one word FANTASTIC!! I was new to Seattle and I used to order Dominos or Pizza Hut until someone told me about MAD, and i can safely tell you that it is the BEST pizza place in Seattle! I tried a few of the other mama and papa's pizza places but this still rates top on my list, they make the best pepperoni pizza in town!

  • Pros: Great pizza, Home Delivery, Service/Ambience

If you haven't tried it...you should!

by alicianoele

We frequently enjoy pizza delivery from Mad Pizza, and I recommend their food HIGHLY! Though their pies are more expensive than those from Dominos or Pizza Hut...hey, you get what you pay for! My favorites include: Cordon Blue, MAD Scientist, and The Chev.

  • Pros: Top-notch pizza
  • Cons: Slightly spendier
