Mission-inspired burritos that inspire a loyal local following.

In Short
The wrap-ups are reminiscent of burritos from the Mission District: Everything's wrapped in huge, handmade tortillas, and spice lovers can add jalapenos or hot sauce. Dig in to a jumbo (with rice and beans, choice of chicken, beef, pork or fish, plus salsa that's made fresh daily) or a super (add sour cream, guacamole, cheese and extra napkins). Vegetarians can order a meatless version, with a choice of whole or refried beans.
This food is horrible!

I've gone to this restaurant twice in the past 2 months, mostly due to the fact that the location was convenient. I was sorely disappointed both times! The quality of their ingredients are on the extreme LOW end. The rice, especially, is by far the most depressing. My second visit I bought a burrito and the corn/bean side they threw in the burrito was expired, pure sickening taste in my mouth! It was disgusting. I think management was trying to cut back on variable costs and decided to keep the food around a little too long. Long story short....avoid this dump of a place.

Better than most fast food but just as convenient. This restaurant has huge portions at a reasonable price. I love the menu variety. Tastes great--and fresher than other fast food Mexican.

I love the fish tacos at Taco del Mar. The food is made quickly with your choice of fresh ingredients. It is tasty and resonably priced. I recommend this restaurant.

Was I ever sad when Taco Del Mar moved out of the Des Moines area. This is one of the best places to get great food at a reasonable price. The food was fresh, healthy and you could chose what you wanted on your order to make it to your satisfaction. I'll drive 7 miles to Taco Del Mar in Burien just to have their fish taco, one of my favorites. Would definitely recommend this establishment for fast, tasty food and excellent service.

i agree that taco del mar is not the most authentic, tastiest mexican food around, but it's great for a quick meal. i am not calling their food bad by any means, but there are definitely more authentic places to go (maybe not in seattle). i go there every once in a while for lunch while I am working downtown and have never had a bad experience. they are so friendly and polite, which can be slightly hard to come across during the busy lunch hour in downtown seattle. i am eating my baja bowl right now and i am very happy. thanks taco del mar!
- Pros: friendly service, quick meal
- Cons: not authentic

This restaurant is unsanitary and has low quality food. I felt sick after eating here. I was SHOCKED to see it listed on Best of Citysearch. I'm not sure what the appeal is.
On the plus side, it is cheap.
- Pros: Cheap, Convenient
- Cons: Unsanitary, Poor Food

I consider this a fast food mexican restaurant but very good. During lunch time, the lines seem to be very long but move quickly. The fish tacos are great and the lunch combo meals are reasonable. Make sure you get a punch card because after 10 you get one free. The salsa is tasty and the service is efficient and friendly. Quick food at a good price!
Great Psuedo Baja Mexican Food

I have lots of experience with Taco Del Mar AND "Real Mexican Food." (I lived 5 years in San Diego) I first would like to note that Taco Del Mar attempts to produce Baja style mexican food which is a bit different from traditional mexican food. Nonetheless, while Taco Del Mars version is not perfect, it is a great lunch place, tastes better than most fast food type places and I go there all the time. Your not going to get any great mexican food (for the most part) in Seattle so Taco Del Mar is a great alternative.
