I've eaten at Fx McRory's many times for lunch, dinner and even just for drinks before or after a game. Sadly, this was the first time my two guests had ever dined here. There were maybe 5 tables seated total in the dining room and staff loitering about when I was seated. I sat for a good 10 minutes before someone brought me water. The server eventually came and greeted me with "do you know what you want to drink?" My two guests arrived a short time later, and after the same greeting for each, we ordered our dinners. We were meeting up for dinner before the Mariners game and had plenty of time before the game started. I ordered the steak (med rare) salad, and the other two ordered the prime rib (med rare) sandwich and corned beef sandwich. Other diners who actually arrived after we placed our order were getting their food and eating. Finally after 45 minutes, our server came to our table for the first time to tell us that our food should be out shortly. Now we had less than 30 minutes to eat our dinner that had yet to arrive, walk the short distance to the stadium and half way around the stadium to our seats before the opening pitch. I had been there almost an hour and a half. Finally our dinners arrived. My salad had clearly been sitting under the heat lamp for most of the 45 minutes. The lettuce had wilted to a flat soggy mess and the steak was room temperature. My guests' food was thankfully warm enough and at least more appetizing to look at. Remarkably, all three meals were tasty; even my disgusting looking salad had wonderful flavor. I asked the server for a comment card and instead she sent over someone who never identified herself as a manager but said that she would talk to the chef and "take care of" my salad. As I said, I've eaten here many times and the food has always been good (not great, but almost reasonable for the price) and the service has been really great or at least adequate but nothing ever this bad.
Pros: Good food
Cons: Non-existent service

This place is terrible if you are looking for good food and service. If all you want is a few drinks and a sandwich before a game then you'll be happy (maybe). However if you read the menu, about their aged steaks, etc, you'll think they are capable of making a good meal . . . they're not! Six of us ate there, and paid $357 for dinner. The steaks and fish were terrible. The filet mignon was $35.95, and half of it was fat - the executive chef that "hand selected" this should be working at Wendys. Then they charge you $4.95 for a half teaspoon of blue cheese on your steak! We even watched as they put it on the wrong steak, then scraped if off and put it on the right one. Unbelievable! The calamari had 11 pieces on the plate, and was cold on presentation. The only reason this place is still in business is because they are so close to the stadiums. Want a good steak, or piece of fish? Then go somewhere else. You'll be glad you did.

My pre AND post Seahawk game experience at FX McRory's was great. Beginning with the over 20 beers on tap, and ending with a sip of burbon from the world's largest collection of burbon, it couldn't have been better. The handmade-that-morning potato skins were delicious and fresh out of the oven. Hawks fans kept it fun and energetic, offering salutes to the victory. I'll be there this weekend to watch the game!
Pros: Fun and crowded during the games

I visited last Sunday after the Hawks game. WOW! The bar was crowded and THE place to be. We stayed and watched the Sunday night game we had so much fun. The TV's are fabulous and everywhere you look! We'll be going back more often than just the Hawks game days. The onion rings were really great too, they were HUGE!
Pros: Great food and service and TV's!
Cons: Crowded, but it is the place to be!

I went to FX for the first time in years last week, and had the best ribeye steak ever. The bartender was very cool and extremely attentive to our needs. I would recommend sitting at the bar because you get very good drinks. It was wonderful.

This would be a great place to take the kids for drinks, because the ones they serve here contain no alcohol whatsoever! You are basically paying top dollar for poorly flavored kool-aid. The food is average, but again you are paying too much for what you get. The service for our party started out ok, but when we got to the check our waitress was pretty snotty about having to split it up. Considering we had almost a $400 bar tab, she could have been more accomodating. Oh well, her tip reflected her service (can we say $0?) Bottom line, go here if you absolutely have to have watered down drinks and average food and pay a king's ransom for it.
Pros: none

How can you call this a sports bar. This place has 4 32 inch tv's about 30 feet off the ground in the corners on the huge sitting area. Not only are there not enough and they are too small, but half the time I've been here two of the tv's are so fuzzy that you can't see them. Have you ever been to a sports bar? guess not because this isn't one!!!
Pros: bourbon
Cons: small tv's, over priced, too big

Inattentive waitstaff. We had to beg to get our check. Apparently a group of businessmen took precedence over other customers that evening despite two tables of two and this group of businessmen were all that were in the dining area. We give a ZERO to the waitstaff or a very failing F. The tip reflected this. The appetizer of Dungeness crab cocktail is awful, unless you like to be brought to tears with hot peppers. Our waiter politely offered a free dessert to cover my displeasure with the appetizer, however since I am not a dessert person this offer went to waste. Although our meals were good, I would not come here again due to the lack of attention by the waitstaff. I am sure the waiters thought the large group of businessmen were a priority and would provide a better tip than tables of two. Little did they know.
Pros: Cost effictive, Good Dungeness
Cons: Waitstaff inattentive

Bland, poorly cooked filet tasted dry, baked potatoe was completely ordinary and not well suited to the entree. Waitstaff was not knowledgable about menu or Oyster selections. Weak cocktails. Not worth the money or time - several other resturants in the Seattle area that take pride in their menu and do it well.

Would you pay $7.00 for a Cosmopolitan martini that tasted as if it had no alcohol? And slow service to boot? Then go to F.X. The drinks aren't always this bad, but they never have a happy hour price (but they will serve you a watered down quality of a happy hour drink). The wait staff is often very s-l-o-w. On numerous occassions, I have waited for far too long to have my order taken or drink refilled. I have finally given up on F.X. -- which is too bad because it's a pretty cool place with some history.
Pros: great art, whisky selection, near the stadiums
Cons: over priced, slow service
