We've chance to visit Mae Phim Pike Thai Cuisine twice today.Sound like 2 different places in one. Lunch is pretty crownd, rush climate but casual and gentle services at Dinner.Tried Pineapple Crispy Chicken and Seafood Woon Sen,both are super delicious,we end up with Fried Banana Iced-cream, it's real happy Monday.

Pros: 2 Styles in one place

It's unbeleivable my thought come true. Mae Phim new location at 2#nd & Pike, very close to our office. We love this rolling kitchen. Papaya salad,Ginger Duck and Larb Gai are the best over there. It's cheap Thai foods and super fast cooking too. John&Macy

Pros: Nice atmosphere, real 5 stars Thai foods

I've tried this place half a dozen times now and have yet to be impressed. It's never been better than OK...but more often than not it's just greasy and bland. Worst phad thai I've ever had. On each visit I've requested the spice level of 5 stars but 3/4 of the time did not receive anything even vaguely hot. Yesterday I politely made the request two times (the 2nd after it was obvious to me that the woman at the counter did not indicate the spice level to the cook). It still wasn't spicy in the least. This woman was rude and dismissive when I asked for a side of hot sauce. I'm always patient, polite, and too forgiving b/c I would like to patronize a family run business but I'm moving on. Yes they're fast and cheap, but this is directly reflected in their food.

Pros: cheap & fast

Cons: tastes even cheaper

Over 60 Thai restaurants as ever tried,90% of them are good.Among them, some place good taste but high price or poor service, some nice service but poor quality of food. Mae Phim is everything perfect...Price,Speed and Friendly are all you can perceive there.

Pros: Exceed Expectation

Cons: No alcohol service

Right after arrived hotel yesterday. To be honested,my husband and I had no time to take shower. We're so hungry to catch Mae Phim before closing. We really enjoyed Pad-Kee-Mao,Pad Thai, Asparagus Shrimp and Yellow Curry Soup. We're so happy like homecoimg after 2 years moved to New York, this place never changed in taste and it's unbeleivable in price. We will try lunch & dinner only here for a week.

Pros: This is real 5 stars place

Cons: No alcohol service

I'm so-called " Divo Taster " : I've tried among the best thai foods in Seattle in region from Tacoma till Cascade. It's absolutely given two thumbs-up for this place. The best price and the best taste as far as I tried.I highly recommend them to extend more business, widely.

Pros: The best Thai foods in Seattle

Cons: Limited Space

Since Mae Phim doesn't have a feedback section on their website (yes, they have a website where you can place online orders) - I'll share my feedback with all of you. When Mae Phim is great, it's a delicious cheap lunch, and when they're "off" it's a sad dissapointment. My faves are cashew chicken & veggie curry. Their soups are also tasty. Whatever you do, stay away from the pad thai - it's the worst I've ever had. I ordered it the first time I ate there (I ususally consider pad thai to be a good measure of a thai restarant), and I just about never returned due to the noodles with ketchup taste. But it's so convenient! On a dissapointing day you might get mushy rice, oily, flavorless, overly salted food, with an overabundance of sharp undercooked onions. A bad day can curb any Phim craving real quick, and put me back on hiatus. Eventually though, memories of the delicious dishes and savory smells usually lure me back, after all it's close & it's cheap.

Pros: Inexpensive; large portions; convenient; friendly

Cons: inconsistent quality; cramped quarters; sometimes super busy abrupt service

Amazing, flavorful, and aromatic dishes. My personal favorite is the curry noodle soup without the fried onions with prawns, tofu or chicken (not a beef eater). It's the most amazing soup ever. I drive all the way from Issaquah every weekend for that. The restaurant is small, so if you have a party larger than 5 or so, I'd reccomend takeout. EVerything comes out super fast. It's maybe a 2 minute wait for a party of four to get all of their food. I've never dealt with a rude person at the register, maybe I go there on a day where she isn't working. I cannot beleive that every entree is only 5.50 for a whole lot of food. Really great for lunch, if you're broke, or just want amazing thai dishes. I highy reccomend this place.

Pros: Speed, cost, taste

Cons: small and not romantic. People coming in and out through the door all the time.

Inexpensive downtown Thai makes for great lunch takeout.  See the full editorial review.
