What users are saying:
A hidden hospital hotel that's not just for patients.

The Scene
This 1920s apartment building for "single women of privilege" was converted into a cozy inn. Because it's next to Virginia Mason Hospital, many guests are visiting patients or are out-of-towners in for treatment. Still, this charming hotel is welcoming to leisure travelers. It's a good option for those who want to be near downtown yet prefer a quieter locale.
The Details
The 79 rooms are comfortable and spacious, if somewhat utilitarian. Standard rooms have a queen or two doubles and a small sitting area. In some rooms the television faces the sitting area and cannot be swiveled to be seen from bed. The library suite includes a large separate sitting area, desk, extra-large bath area and library filled with encyclopedias and a Physicians Desk Reference--for researching your condition, no doubt. Some rooms have views of downtown or First Hill, but many look out at the hospital.
