Everything I want in a salon!

Staff is friendly and on top of everything! I got my eyelashes permed and dyed and don't have to worry about mascara for like 6 weeks! My color and cut were just what I wanted too!

This place is GREAT!

• Pros: Great Lash Perms and Eyebrow/Eyelash Tinting!
• Cons: None! This place has it all!

Be clear or get a chop job-picture, translator, etc.

This salon is generally very nice but I got a cut about four inches shorter than I wanted. I went from a midlength bob to an old lady short cut. Not a hip short cut, a little old lady standard short cut. The woman cutting my hair did not speak English clearly. I told her I wanted it shorter, same cut and her first cut or strike was right below the eye. It took almost a year to grow out and really looked bad.

On top of that, the owner, the HR person and the manager all were unpleasant. I had to speak with all of them and their consensus was that it had to grow. It was too short to be reshaped. Absolutely no solution available-a wig would have been the only thing.

Yes, people asked me what happened to my hair and I told them. It was pretty awful.I won't forget or forgive them as hair is a central piece of your self confidence. During that time period, I was looking for a job and it certainly impacted that.

I would not go there ever again!

• Cons: Don't go there, if you do, be careful as the results may horrify you!

Since 1987, this no-tipping Aveda salon offers cuts, color, perms, manicures, facials, waxing, eyelash extensions and tinting.

Great Place

I found Studio 904 to be a great no tipping salon. I have always been able to get in quickly and the stylists have been great. They also do a follow up call a few days after your appointment to make sure you liked your service.

Color I Keep Getting Compliments About

This team knows customer service. I scheduled a cut and changed my mind about wanting color at the last minute, while in my seat in front of the mirror... It's amazing how nice the staff was when I requested this. Instead of the, "we don't have time, guess you have to reschedule" they were extremely flexible! The management was so accommodating and even when I requested a phone number from the Yellow Pages, the receptionist (who was a stylist herself and filling in - goes to show you that the company takes care of their clients) literally found the number and walked it right over to me, written on one of their business cards! The color is professional and beautiful. I keep getting compliments and tell people where I got the color done. Studio 904 - thumbs up for taking care of a high maintenance client!

Good place

I recently moved to Seattle and I read about this no-tipping salon. Service is fine, but you don't get that personalized client vibe. Front desk is great and the stylists are good. They tend to tag-team you, though. I recommend it if you're not into the hoity-toity salons and just want a good cut and color.
