Great Lebanese Experience
by mkadlec
Very impressed with the food, the shih kabobs were the best I've ever tasted, and the saffron rice was very tasty.
The location is good to people-watch, and the experience was very Lebanese, both in ambiance and food.
I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.
- Pros: food, ambiance
Horrible Service
by maitai73
The food was excellent but we weren't able to enjoy our meal. We wandered into Sahara before a movie Saturday, and had ample time for dinner (2 1/2 hours). We almost left due to the fact that noone came to our table for 20 minutes. After finally ordering we sat for another 1 & 45 minutes, watching the four parties that had come in after us get their meals. Finally, with a 1/2 hour to spare before the movie started, I said something. They did bring out our food a few minutes later. Everything was cold. The flavor was great, but we weren't able to enjoy it. We had to scarf everything down in under 10 minutes. I was very disappointed and will not recommend Sahara. When I go out to eat and spend a $30 a person I expect excellent, attentive service.
- Pros: Flavor, Menu
- Cons: , Service
Mmm mmm good

Citysearch reviews lead me to this sweet little restaurant - and I wasn't dissapointed. :)
The food is as good as everyone says it is. I had the gyro plate and a bowl of lentil soup to start. The soup is top notch. The gyro plate was smaller than I expected for the price, but it was very good. Nicely done strips of lamb, tasty rice, pita and great hummus. The pita could've been warmed up a bit, but that's fine.
From the outside, the restaurant looks a little dicey, but the interior is nicely done. White table linens and middle eastern decor.
Our server was the most polite and friendly waiter I've ever met. This is a great place. I'd recommend larger portions, though.
- Pros: Great service, Great food
- Cons: smallish portions
Best Middle Eastern food in town
by aclarson76
Me and my wife's favorite restaurant in Seattle and the best Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food that I've ever had. We like it so much that we had them cater our wedding. All of the food is great but the Sahara platter is a good sampling. The staff is extremely hospitable and the atmosphere is intimate and unique.
- Pros: Impecable service, Excellent Baklava, Good Value
