Worst Food on the Ave
by thisre
I was too hungry to think rationally. I wanted something cheap and decent so I walked into the nearest restaurant.
First of all, to avoid questionable qualtity of chicken, I usually ask the server to make my chicken well-well-done. She didn't seem to understand what I was asking her. That should've been enough reason to leave the joint. The food came out within 5 minutes, but at this point, I can't cancel my order. I took it home, had a bite, and I couldn't even swallow it. It smelled so foul.
I quickly threw that food away in the dumpster.
- Pros: none.
- Cons: everything, but they have a large screen tv
Horrible service, food is so-so
by babyrice02
Rudest customer service I have ever had. The waitress was very impatient and snappy when we asked simple questions like how big the portions were. Then we got our bill before our food even arrived. The food was okay, but nothing special. Not recommended if you like to be treated with respect.
- Pros: Portions aren't too small
- Cons: Bad service, below average food
A U-District student and faculty favorite serving traditional Korean and Japanese dishes on the cheap.
by Anna Roth
In Short
Set back from the hustle and bustle of the Ave in a small white building, this affordable eatery is a student refueling stop with dependable Japanese and Korean fare. Minimally decorated and with many tables very close together, the emphasis is on the food, not the atmosphere. Large portions of teriyaki chicken, yakisoba, tempura, chicken katsu and other favorites come with a side salad and miso soup; many also opt for Korean barbecue or bibimbap.
Best Korean food in the U-District

This humble family-owned restaurant is *the only* decent Korean food available near UW. Try their Kimchi fried rice or their Bulgogi. One order's enough for lunch AND dinner!
- Pros: Cheap, Delicious and a GREAT Value!
- Cons: Fast-food joint ambience
