Amazing, Beautiful, Perfect!!!!

You have to see Rachel!!! I went to headlines after shopping in the village, it is a beautiful salon. Rachel just moved to the area and took excellent care of me. My hair has been damaged from past colors and highlights but that was not a problem for her. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and when she was done with my color and highlights she did a fantastic hair cut. Most stylist excel at color or cuts but she is amazing at both!! She also did a deep conditioning treatment and it really worked. I've never seen my hair so smooth, soft, and shiny. I will always and forever see Rachel!!

The salon carries Bumble and Bumble which is a bonus because the products work and smell great! The flowers inside Headlines are breathtaking as well. You should check out the salon, once you do you will never want to go anywhere else!

best haircut and foil ever!!!

i recently went to headlines salon to see jenell, a friend of mine gets her hair done by her and it always looks great anyway, she refered me to her. i went and got a foil and razor pixie... it was great!!! ive been getting compliments ever since. even the customer service was great.... i would definitly ask for jenell

consistent, great haircuts

I see Emily at Headlines, and I am always extremely pleased with her work. She does a wonderful job, and always is completely honest about what she thinks will work. I always completely trust her judgment. I am not very dutiful about going in every 6 weeks for a trim, but when I do see her we are able to pick up our conversation where we last left off. I love going to her! Also, she gives free bangs trims to her regular clients in between visits. It's not something I've taken advantage of, but I think it's worth mentioning.

• Pros: consistent great haircuts
• Cons: less than enthusiastic receptionists

Great cut, lasted for months

I travelled to Seattle for vacation in September and I like to get haircuts as souvenirs. I was a walkin and Chastina took care of me. I wanted my haircut to be chic but not too trendy, like Posh's, with taste and style but not too wacky, because I'm working in a co-op (engineering student). Chastina was right on the money when she said it should look great enough for a suit. Back in Houston, even until December people still complimented my hair. It looks like people either have great or terrible experiences; I'd recommend Chastina. I don't know how the others will be. I'm going back to Seattle in March and I hope she can cut it again! (And it was pretty affordable, ~ $50)

• Pros: not too much sales pressure, great cut, nice receptionist, recommended good products

Great Salon

I am very happy with this salon. The employees are friendly and helpful. I have seen many stylists here and am proud to say that. This is a very talented group. Emily is my favorite- a TALENTED hair dresser and worth waiting to see. Connie is bubbly, funny, and also does a good job. I recommend this salon above all others.

Bad experience...again

Every time I get out of this place, I swear NEVER AGAIN I am getting into this convenient trap. The door is opened, "walkings welcome", I only have 2 hours before the kids will wake-up, and I am in..again...

It has been two days since a bold guy Bill has chopped my hair, turning my head into a shapeless mop. I can't even categorize the cut. Last time it was a different guy, same corner room. I think, they hate the walk-ins, and teach us not to do so, by sending to the very worst. Maybe?

Hopefully, it will help some oneelse to make a better choice. "World Class Style, Guaranteed Satisfaction" - NOT!

Go see Young, hair extraodinaire

I love it's super convenient location; I like that I can go shopping, run errands and get my hair done in one stop.

Young has been cutting my hair for 2+ years and she's amazing- she absolutely knows what will and will not work for you. My hair has never looked better!

New crop awesome!!

I read the reviews on this sight, and then noticed the dates. All the hair stylists that were frowned upon are no longer with Headlines Salon. I actually checked!! I have been in 3 times- twice for getting my hair done, and once again to buy Bumble and Bumble shampoo and conditioner. Everyone is experienced and knowledgeable, friendly and really good!! I love the fact that it is at University Village. I HIGHLY recommend this salon for cuts, color, style ( I had my hair styled for the holidays- loved it!!) and wares. People there really care about what they do and the people that they serve. Very wonderful experience.

Great Salon

I agree with the last reviewer. Headlines in wonderful. The atmosphere is very pleasant. They sell GREAT products, and the receptionist is extremely helpful. My hair has never looked better. Coming to U. Village is a fun time and you can get so much done. This is the perfect salon location.
