Everyone is so nice at Jaliscos! The food is excellent, just like something you could get in Mexico! Everything on the menu is fantastic! It is definitly a 5-star restraunt, and you don't have to get all dressed up just to go and get some amazingly good food!
- Pros: Excellent service, everyone is friendly, EXCELLENT food
There is SO much better right next door.

** The free appetizer of Chips and Salsa:In a word, LAME These chips tasted like some kind of packing material. Dry and crumbly they dissolved in my mouth like some kind of gritty corn breathstrip. The Salsas were a bland runny "hot" sauce - and a pico de gallo that was too dry. I was able to make it edible by mixing the two. **The $10 appetizer combo platter:
This overpriced "variety" platter had - a soggy, flaccid, chicken quesadilla (with very little chicken in it.) Nacho's (those same horrible corn chips with a pile of low grade americanized "mexican" cheese. Cheese that became a dry shell of luke-warm plastic as the cardboard chips wicked away what little moisture the cheese had so what you ended up with was soggy chips and a firm, rippable cheese shell. Moving on to the taquitos - I had the beef, THESE I dont have much of a gripe (one of the few really) The beef was moist, the taquito shell crisp. .. then the Sour Cream and Guac .. you cant really mess up Sour Cream - so we'll talk about their Guac - it was ok, if it came from a plastic container just bought from QFC. Even then, they put the ball of guac on a pile of lettuce, so you really didnt get nearly as much as you thought you would. Overall - not worth $10 **Main Course: I had the chimmichangas - one ground beef, the other chicken - with rice and beans. The texture of the Chimmi shell was good, the ground beef seasoned well and was moist. The rice and beans were not very satisfying as the rice was dry, and the beans were a runny mess. The chicken Chimmi was moist, but very bland. **My partner had the Chicken Mole - it was also a runny mess of what seemd to be mole sauce from a jar or can, not much coco flavor. It also came with low end flour tortias and rice. **As a Side Note: Lots of white families, it didnt seem like many Mexicans were regular customers - compared to some other places in the area where I'm the only white guy there. It took 16 mins to pay
- Pros: It didnt make me sick. They serve Beer
- Cons: Just about everything else - the food, the long wait (almost 16 mins) to get and pay a bill.
American-Mexican fare that pleases a wide array of diners.

In Short
Jalisco's six locations are a popular choice for the shirt-sleeve weekday lunch crowd. In the evenings, young margarita drinkers fill the place and the noise level rises. All the usual menu items are here--enchiladas, burritos, tacos, tostadas--plus a few not-so-usual items, including real chicken en mole. Try any of the enchilada plates, or the chili verde.
Muy Bien

The nicest people in Seattle serving down-casa cooking! I've been going there for 15 years...singlehood to parenthood. It's consistently yummy, fast and a bargain. They make you feel like part of the family.
