Georgetown's Entertainment Jewel!.
Heard alot about the chicken in this place and had to check things out. We went on a Fri for a late dinner and yes the chicken is the best I have ever had....no lie. My date got a huge salad and my
buddy got the BLT which was equally as good. It's bar food but it's REALLY good bar food.
Service was top notch...
While we were eating we saw the guy setting up for karaoke and decided to stay since my girlfriend likes to belt one out every now and then. The host was awesome and the sound system was amazing. It was entertaining throughout the night and we pretty much closed the place down. We found out during the karaoke that the same guy dj's on Saturdays so we came back the next night.
I didn't think I could eat chicken two nights in a row but I did....and loved it. This time the lights were turned down and the dance floor was lit up with dance lighting. Not much of a dancer myself but the music he played was excellent and after a few drinks I realized that maybe I really am a dancer. ha. The pretentious house and trance stuff was left for downtown....he played great r&b, hip hop...party music...things you like to dance to. The crowd was appreciative and a great night was had by all. We will DEFINITELY return!…
Bomb Chicken!! Best I have ever had!.
I cannot believe that nobody has written anything about this place since 2005. I used to drive by and think that the place was closed all of the time before new ownership took over in 2006. The
once covered windows have now been opened up and there are plenty of tv's to watch. Yes the building is old but the interior is very clean and they have a great selection of food, beverage and a healthy line up of draft beers That are served in Frosty cold glasses. The Friendly staff has put together a great menu consisting of Burgers, Toasted Grinders, Pressure Fried Chicken and JO's!!! and a couple of awesome salads. The walls once covered with a spattering of all kinds of beer neons and mirrors has been changed to a more sports related NASCAR theme. They actually have the entire side panel of a Real NASCAR hanging on the wall, not to mention the other various car parts that have actually been crashed in races. Since the facelift of the decor there has been a change in clientelle too attracting people from as far as Maple Valley, and Lynwood for their fun and lively Friday nights with Swifty's Karaoke. All in all this is a great place to gather with friends and It is Happy hour all day on Saturdays. I even won $400 playing pull tabs for the first time. They said that Fridays are really busy during lunch so if you have a short lunch hour try to go on another day of the week. I love the people and food so much that I get my lunch to go when I don't have much time.
Enjoy your first or next experience at the Marco Polo Bar and Grill!…
Editorial Review. Dive bar and restaurant focuses on games, sports, drinks and a full menu with burgers, sandwiches and pressure cooked chicken.
I love to sing, and watch the dancers!. What a place--scrubbed out, fairly clean dive with great drinks, attentive service & occasionally the hot young thing crawling up on the table to dance out a number or two. Too bad no happy hour--what gives Polo? Happy hour pricing=more girls eh?--and more table dancing--you can never see enough of that right? Just wish they'd open a door and let some of that smoke out--are you trying to kill us? Bad enough we do it to ourselves anyway--I mean, I go there, but i don't wanna smell like I go there--get it? Ventilation please--it is bars like this that really murder me. Ventilation+Happy hour+blondes=good times for all.…
This place rocks!!!. This is a great little bar and grill. Live music on FRI-SAT. A cute bartender, drinks are ample and the SUPERBURGER OMG that thing rules!!! The staff is very friendly and it is a great place to party. In the midst of georgetown this little bar blows the doors off the competition. The owner keeps the riffraff out and you'll be pleasantly surprised how clean this joint is. A five star bar!! Try it you'll be back.…
I liked this place.
I came to Seattle for a mechanical contractors seminar and I asked local where was a good place for some food and grub and I was told to hit the POLO. What a great place! Clean and nice. Everyone was
super nice and there were quite a few young ladies on a friday night. The drinks were stiff thanks to "ROBERT"& "DREW". The area around this place may not be uptown but it is certainly not dangerous and I had a really pleasant experience. I would say this bar has the BEST CHICKEN I have ever eaten. They have a pressure cooker and its made in an area the owner called the PENALTY BOX. You have to see it to believe it.
A really nice place for good times and fun.…
Holy Polo. Very cool little tavern. Clean and fun but not in the least pretentious. Friendly staff and good food, great burgers.
