My family and I went in before a Sonics game and it was packed! We were immediately greeted and shown to a table. Although it was dirty the server apologized, told us we had great timing because the previous guests had just left and he even bussed it quickly. We were very impressed that we were seated as fast as we were. Although it took 30 minutes to get food, I still feel that is an average wait for a Friday. Not to mention before a Sonics game. I could hear a table behind us complaining to their waiter about how long food was taking and can not stress how well it was handled by the server. The food was great and our service was fantastic. It is a small pub so it's easy to see how quickly it can fill up. word of advice.....arrive early so you are not rushed to your event.

  • Pros: friendly service
  • Cons: small pub

Being a server myself, I was choked by our server's attitude. My friends and I have never ever been treated that way before! Our server came to our table rolling his eyes! Then, it just went down hill... which I didn't think possible! He gave each of us pretty much half a second to order, and if one of us didn't appear to be fast enough, here was your eyes rolling again!! I really thought it was a joke at first, I couldn't believe what I was witnessing... About the food... Well, apparently, none of us happened to be fast enough to order it! My best advice to you..... DO NOT GO THERE!!!!

  • Pros: Can't find any....
  • Cons: Service, Service, Service!

I went into the location a few weeks ago and the service was terrible. They messed up my order, added additional condiments and burnt my food. My friends also requested no additional condiments and both items were messed up. They insisted on leaving the door open when the temperature was very cold outside. I asked politely if they would close the door and they rudely refused. DO NOT GO HERE.

  • Pros: none unless you enjoy insulting service
  • Cons: food and service

Hello, I'm going to tell you a little story about a restaurant named "McMenamins". We arrived at the restaurant that was suggested by someone who said it was very good. We get our table and wait at the table for 10 minutes and 20 minutes before we even got our drinks. My friend's beer was "Warm and flat" so he went to the bar to get a different one. We proceeded to wait for our food for atleast a half hour then at the forty-five minute mark, we recieved our appetizers wich were cold and develiverd by a very rude waiter. After we are done eating the appetizers, we wait another 25 minutes and finally received our food, 3 burgers. All were burnt, cold (don't ask how both are possible), and all around terrible dog food grade meat. After complaining to the waiter, we were given the check for the horrible food and the waiter accepted our pay without a single apology for the quality of the food/drinks or the length of the wait. Only go here if you expect the worst that Seattle has to offer.

  • Pros: Atmosphere
  • Cons: Terrible Service, Bad Food, Crowded, Loud, Long Wait

Slightly off the walking path of those coming to Queen Anne for the night but is a well-known spot amongst those who live and work there. The menu has a lot of hearty items and the fries are always good and there is a lot of good beer on tap. Service is better than average, especially for the area, and there isn't a whole lot of snooty Queen Anne people like one might expect. Parking can be arduous - it does not have a lot of its own and it is on a busy one-way street that is near impossible to navigate when their is an event. Mostly though, I never feel rushed to eat and leave - they even have games to play and TV to watch (sports events primarily). Worth the walk from Queen Anne Ave.

  • Pros: Beer, service, hot food for cold nights, not a lot of clowns
  • Cons: parking, the occasional clown

I'm usually very open minded about trying new places and not too hurtful in reviews but this place really did a poor job. They have a good atmosphere. I'll give them that. However, a small group of co-workers and I visited this location for lunch one afternoon. We sat for more than an hour waiting for our food to cook. We waited for so long that some of my co-workers had to ask for their food to-go. That would have been fine except for the fact that the food was some of the worst that I have ever tasted. I could have gotten a better burger a Denny's in half the time this food took to prepare. Not to mention half the price as well. I wouldn't have fed that meat to my dog! Our service made that sandwich even harder to choke down. Our waiter never even brought condiments, cutlery or napkins. If youre looking for bad service, bland terrible over-priced food and a staff of rude employees (not every employee, just the majority) than this is your place.

I can only hope that this place goes out of business soon so some stupid corporate place like T.G.I.F. or Applebee's can move in. I'll actually go back to those places once every few years.

  • Pros: Atmosphere, Decent Brew. Fairly Clean well kept.
  • Cons: Price, Service, Service Attitude

Upon entering you immediately notice the very artistic decor and great selection of music. The strong aroma of hops from the indoor brewery fills the air. As you are greeted by the lackluster host you can't help to notice the disgruntled attitudes on the employees faces. Don't expect to eat until you have been waiting watching women's golf for about 45 minutes. After the long wait, you are automatically disappointed by the foul aroma of the overcooked greasy sandwiches and dry fries. After it's all done you can look forward to hours of agonizing stomach pain, and the memory of one of the worst lunch experiences in your life.

  • Pros: Art, Music, Great Seating
  • Cons: Smell from Brewery, Service, Food

I don't quite know why, but I love McMenamin's. Maybe because of the cozy atmosphere, the tall booths, and the friendly servers. The food is decent, but not amazing (other than the Wilbur burger, according to my bf. He drools just thinking about it). They have a decent vegetarian selection for veggies like me, but I generally stick to the gardenburger. The black bean burrito is bland. The mac & cheese is ok but also kind of bland. I wouldn't recommend the chips and guac, but the hummus plate is delicious. And definitely try the Terminator Stout. It's the best!

  • Pros: Cozy, Comfortable, Terminator
  • Cons: Average Food

This pub is in my neighborhood, and I knew the mcmen's chain previously, but the people that work here, really make it worth frequenting. Mike, Paige, Mandy, James, and all the rest of the crew really make it worthwhile. These people learn the names and favorites of the regulars while still making new patrons feel welcome and taken care of. I really like the vegetarian selection, the fantabulous cider, and the mellow atmosphere. Bring your scrabble board, a good book or just a group of friends for some good drinks, and you're sure not to be disappointed. Good food, good spirits, GREAT service......this is one of my favorite places to eat on a regular basis.

  • Pros: nonsmoking, excellent cider, fabulous service
  • Cons: crowded on game night
