I have used cab services all over the world and have never ever come across a more unreliable and unprofessional service before!!! It baffles me that they still don't get it and aren't doing anything about their services and ridership going down the tube!!!!!!

Pros: None

Cons: Very unreliable, rude and arrogant workers althroughout, unprofessional, and coslier than other cab services in town!!!

Every review you read on here is 100% accurate. I was trying to schedule a taxi to pick me up for the airport tomorrow morning. The dispatcher couldn't spell my first name so he decided to not type it into the system. His answer was, "Your name is too hard for me". (My first name is Win). I asked if they wanted my phone number. His reply was "No, we're not going to call you anyway. You have to call us in the morning to make sure we are there". Talk about service. Horrible! I could care less if they show up or not. I'm going with a more reliable town car service. It's worth the extra $10.00 to get to the airport on time.

Most of the drivers I've gotten from yellow cab have been just fine. I don't know where they find the dispatchers though. They all seem to be doing a bad Danny DeVito impersonation. Belligerant and argumentative, surly the very moment you dare to ask a question. Anything more than "pick me up now, at this address" and you are begging for trouble. On one of the early reviews, I read the dispatcher took exception with her using the term "You guys." Perhaps it created such an impression, he then incorporated it into his speech style. It's what the dispatcher said repeatedly; "Don't ask me to speculate how long the drive will take, YOU GUYS just need to decide for yourselves and tell us when to be there." I told him I was not asking him to predict the traffic, I was asking him how much padding I should allow on his drivers being on time. The distinction was too much for him to follow. He was broken record on the "YOU GUYS tell us yada yada yada." Sad sad man, taking advantage of the only power he is likely to see in this lifetime. Being nasty to anyone he can, just for the sheer joy of it.

Pros: There's lots of them. The drivers are often polite, and know where they are going.

Cons: Dispatchers who get their jollies being jerks

I called a yellow cab at around 11:00 PM - I told them that I wanted to be picked up on the cross streets by the Blockbuster. They refused to pick me up because I did not have an exact address. i was calling from my cell phone so I could not get the exact address. I wanted to be picked up close to the bus stop and taken home - I have a severe safety situation - I am being stalked and have a protection order out. I complained to the dispatcher about it - and he was extremely argumentitive and insensitive - he asked "so what do you want me to do about it?" - "We are not responsible for your safety" - etc. I told them in the discussion that they would be negligent if anything happened. . He said that I could not be held responsible that I would have to go after the guy who attacked me. I am afraid to enter my building. He kept engaging me and took issue with me saying "you guys". Now I hardly ever argue with customer service people - most of them really like me and I have made some friends with managers and baristas at coffee shops. I could not understand why they would be so inflexible and rude - I will never use that taxi service again for any reason.

Pros: often on time

Cons: Rudeness of dispatchers - inflexibility on exact addresses - will not let me identify business

I was in Seattle on business and decided to take a couple of extra days and sight see with my husband. When it came time to leave, we grabbed the first cab we saw, Yellow Cab. It was run down and we almost turned it away but we had a flight to catch so we went for it. The cab driver didn't seem to know where we were going, either. Then, the cab driver started fiddling with the gearshift, threw the car in reverse and caused us to have a SERIOUS car accident. He lost control of the car and crashed into the median. Thankfully after a rushing the doctor to get out of the ER we were sent home (barely making our flight, THANK YOU HIGHLINE MED CENTER). Aside from the negligent driving of the cab, it was a worn down vehicle and the driver seemed as if he didnt know where he was going or anything. We got out of yellow cab with our lives and we're thankful. We had to take another cab to the airport from the hospital and the nurse gave us Island Cab. We got into a decent cab and the driver was more confident. (not that I was in any shape to appreciate it). NEVER EVER AGAIN will I go in a yellow cab in any city or state!!!! If I could give negative stars then I would.

Pros: none

Cons: everything

I took Yellow Cab to the emergency room at Swedish Hospital and the driver ate his lunch and played a crackly football game on the radio, I was injured and needed help getting in and out of the cab which was not offered and I left my hat on the back seat because he pulled off so fast I did not have time to get it out of the car and my hat never got turned in to the lost and found! When I called to complain the person I spoke to was so rude that from now on I will just take the bus!

Pros: pick me up fast!

Cons: took the longest route there!

I had such an awful experience with Yellow Cab last night that I had to post here. I called around 1 AM and asked for a taxi to come pick me up in Greenlake. 7 minutes, I was told, so I dutifully went outside to wait. After waiting over twenty five minutes in the cold and creepy dark, I called to make sure there was no confusion about the address or something. The man I talked to was needlessly rude. Actually, rude is an understatement--the guy was bullying and belligerent. Among all the things he barked at me, the only one of any relevance was that the 7 minute estimate didn't mean anything, they stopped guaranteeing cab times over a year ago so I should just keep standing there for as long as it took and not call them. I stupidly waited another twenty minutes. Then I called infomation from my cell and asked for "any cab company that wasn't Yellow Cab." The operator connected me to Orange Cab, whose dispatcher said they'd be there in ten to twenty minutes. Ten minutes later, I was warm and dry in an Orange Cab, on my way home! Yellow Cab, thanks for nothing. Methinks competition will be good for you.

Pros: working phone number

Cons: belligerent dispatcher, no show driver

Im a young adult and never had taken a taxi (by myself) before this experience but the driver was not only on time but early. He was friendly which was surprising since the person on the phone was very rude. It was overall a great trip. It was cheaper than I expected too, even though, being my first time I forgot to tip (which i felt bad about afterwards) but the driver did no complaining. He also helped me load and unload my suitcases.

Pros: helping with suitcases, on time, friendly driver

Cons: lady on phone was pushy and impolite

Well, I'll add to a long list of people with customer complaints about Yellow Cab. I'm still looking for the competition to take my business there. Last week I called the night before to schedule an airport trip. Scheduled for 6:30 am, I began calling when the cab didn't arrive right on time. I called at 6:34, 6:45; 6:51 and 7:02. At each call the cab was 'on my street', 'just a minute away', heading north on my street', etc etc. at the third call I told the dispatcher I could see the cab 2 blocks down my street, going the wrong direction. I offered to 'direct' him in. No, 'he's on his way'. At the fourth call they said they'd be there in 15 minutes. Well, as the story went, I hopped in my car, parked at the airport, missed my flight anyway and had to pay for a week's parking at the airport garage. AT 7:21 I got an 'autodial' call from Yellow cab that my cab was 'out front'. Well, I was already in the parking garage at that time. Now I'm trying to pursue collection of my out of pocket expenses. We'll see how their customer service goes with that. Good luck. And, where's the competition. I think these guys know they're a monopoly.
