third time's not a charm.
This is the third time I ordered pick up from this place. I like to try a few different dishes before I write it off a place completely - especially since this one has quite a few good reviews. The
food isn't that great and the prices are pretty high.
Third time we ordered fresh rolls, pud thai, chicken delight and tom yum talay. The total cost was $44 without tip. Not to mention, they messed up my order and gave me the tom yum with seafood. The fresh rolls, which were pretty bland, were filled with mostly rice noodles, some mint, and lettuce, with your choice of shrimp or tofu. I mean, it's already wrapped in rice paper, it doesn't need more rice noodles inside. Not to mention they were quite big, I could barely stand to finish one and the order came in 4. The pad thai was equally tasteless and greasier than it should be. The chicken delight was very soupy. At first I thought it was the tom yum, which actually had some taste, but not one that I'd like in my mouth again.
If you are looking for Thai on top of Queen Anne, I would suggest the Thai Kitchen around the corner. So much better.…
Home away from home. Love taking out from Orrapin - fast and delicious. Also environmentally friendly take out containers!
Pretty Good. Had take out from this restaurant...first time tasting their food. It was good. However, we paid to have prawns added to our vegetable curry dish. They added 3 prawns for the whole dish. Not worth the price and pretty poor on the restaurants part.…
Thai food is pretty good.. The food was just average. The service was very quick. Nice quite atmosphere. Not cheap eats but most every thing was under $10. Pad Thai was a little bland but the pad sui (sp?) Was very good.
Good but not great. Average Seattle Thai food. Not Cheap but of reasonable quality. Nice decor. Service is consistently reasonable, Nothing special about tis place except the location is convienient.
Very accomodating. We are new to QA and enjoy Thai food quite often and I requested and traditional thai dish not usually represented on most of any menus. When Iasked for the dish called Prah Ka Proh (sp) they were able to make it! Even with an egg and fish sauce. I WILL BE RETURNING ON A WEEKLY BASIS.Due to their flexibilty and ability to work outside the box! The food was unbelievable as well.…
Best thai food in Seattle. I've tried many thai places in Seattle and none of them compare to Orrapin. Their cashew chicken is amazing and worth coming back for. The portions aren't that big and it's a little spendy, but I'd say it's worth it. Their curry dishes are also wonderful. I've always gotten take out and never eaten in, but their service has always been prompt and the restaurant is cute and clean.…
Wonderful Food!. This thai restaurant on Queen Anne is my absolute favorite place to get thai! If you're unsure what to get- get the chicken pud thai. My only complaint is that parking is very scarce and watch out if they're really busy. Twice I was very disappointed by the service there and it was because they were really busy.…
Best Thai atop Queen Anne.
Orrapin is fantastic thai restaraunt atop Queen Anne. The flavors of my favorites are predictably sweet, sour, spicy, and savory -- they never fail to quench my craving for thai cuisine. As I've
been frequenting this place ever since I moved to QA, the servers are friendly, even letting me customizing my dishes with various substitutions to quench my ever changing palate. I bring all my friends who come to visit here for a dinner out. A nice atmosphere.
The only drawbacks I see here are a short wine & beer menu; although, I generally have tea served instead during my visits.…
Wonderful!. Excellent food, wonderful attentive (yet almost invisible) service- couldn't ask for more!
