You have to try the Breakfast HH! Half Price!

by Lisas Opinion

I live for the crab, roasted corn and avocado benedict with chipotle hollandaise. Even their little breakfast potatos are exemplary. It's such a cool interior crafted by northwest artists that even if you have nothing to say to your date you can have fun taking in the visual.

Their HH food is the best. There's about 30 choices each for $3-$6. The texmex cuisine is creative and thoughtful and I have to recommend the pomagranet sangria very highly.

  • Pros: One of Seattles funnest restaurants

fun atmosphere!

by seattlespagirl

This is a really fun place to go with your girlfriends and just talk. It's definitely a meet market, though. I've never tried their food, but their drinks are really weak. My friend and I spent about $80 on drinks and we were completely sober. So don't go here if you haven't pre-funked!!!

  • Pros: ambience
  • Cons: weak drinks.

Very Consistent

by gsniggs

Including Sonic pre-games (in days of old), I've probably been here 100 times & counting. While I've outgrown the bar scene for which Peso's is very well known, their food is simply outstanding in quality & price and keeps me and my friends (and now my significant other) coming back regularly. Sure there have been a couple sub-par experiences over the years but nothing noteworthy. As long as you are OK or at least tolerant of the inescapable boisterousness coming from the bar on many nights you will have an enjoyable meal.

  • Pros: EXCELLENT FOOD. More Tex-Mex than straight Mex. Lovely waitresses.
  • Cons: If you can't handle a little noise, not yer place.

THEY NEED TO HIRE NEW SERVERS

by laidbacklady

The waitress was awful when it came to the bill. We had multiple tabs open, she moved them all to one tab without asking, and refused to give us a receipt when we were trying to settle up with each other. When you have 14 people in a group, I understand that things can get complicated, but as someone who used to serve THAT IS HER JOB. DO NOT consolidate tabs without asking, and don't cop an attitude when someone wants to see a receipt.

I mentioned our experience to a friend, and he had a similar awful experience. He and his friends sat at the table and the people sitting there previously hadn't closed out the tab and the waitress was giving them a hard tab when they were complaining about getting the previous tables orders put on their bill.

There are hundreds of bars around this city that manage to do a decent job about getting things right...these servers sould go receive some training from them.

HORRBLE waitresses

by annatheresa

My boyfriend and I heard that this was the best happy hour in seattle, so we decided to try it. I'd heard the service was bad but I usually disregard this, since I'm a barista and I know people will always complain no matter what. We were there around 3:30. There was no one around so we sat ourselves. The only menus on the table were for happy hour, and they said that happy hour started at 4:00, so we were slightly confused but there were other people there with chips so we figured we'd just ask the waitress. After we'd been sitting there for about 5 minutes a scantily clad blond waitress came out from the back. She smiled, and said she'd be right with us to take our order, and dropped off her drinks at the table directly behind us. After about five more minutes of waiting, we realized that she was still at the table behind us, chatting. About deodorant. She was sniffing her armpits and laughing. Meanwhile, there were about five other tables of people waiting for service (some people had chips, some just had water, we had nothing.) She just stood talking to the people at the table for the next 15 minutes. She didn't even look at any of the other tables, let alone go to the kitchen or the bar to pick up their orders, and she was the ONLY server. We were there almost 20 minutes and we didn't even get a glass of water, and we left. We walked right past her and she didn't even notice. We walked around for about ten minutes and couldn't find anywhere else so we poked our heads back in to see if maybe there were more servers around and she was STILL talking to the same people while everyone else STILL sat there with no food or drinks! It was totally insane. I will never go back there, I don't care how good the food is supposed to be if the waitresses won't even take your order.

if you can't handle the heat stay out of the kitchen!

by scavari

If you can't handle a scene don't show up. It is one of the best nightlife spots in Seattle. The food is amazing. But if you are insecure about your appearance or can't handle hords of beautiful people stay home or check out your local library.

  • Pros: amazing food
  • Cons: hard to get a spot during happy hour and late nights

Negative atmosphere negates cheap eats

by JamieLynn80

If you are white, pretentious, and only go to restaurants to see and be seen than this is the place for you. The service was fairly poor ? we saw our waitress about three times in the 90 minutes we were there. Granted, we did go during happy hour on Saturday afternoon so we were not expecting much. The food was just okay, but again we were not expecting much since it was happy hour. The price point of $4 to $5 per plate was reasonable. I was confused as to why a table of 40-somethings were allowed to have their dogs in the lounge with them. Confusion turned to disgust when I realized that they also had a bowl of water and bowl of food out for the dogs. I like dogs as much as the next person; I just don?t think they belong in restaurants. The crowning moment was when my femme girlfriend and I (also femme) had the D-Bomb hurled at us while we were exiting the lounge... twice by two different people. I realize this was not Peso?s fault ? but I refuse to give money to an establishment that caters to patrons of this caliber. A $5 mediocre tamale is not worth it when it is accompanied by homophobic slurs.

No way, there are better places to eat in Queen Anne

by timnnynowqa11

You have got to be kidding me! I use to be a long standing Pesos customer, I put up with a lot of bad service, mediocre food and loud music. But now it has gotten to the point where it?s not worth my life to eat there. When they learn how to control the bloody fights, and drunk customers I may go back?.If I want Mexican food I?ll go to Jaliscos or get great food in my neighborhood at Ascada Bistro, 10 Mercer, Chopsticks or Kid Valley.

  • Pros: Other Restaurant near by
  • Cons: Fights, boarderline food

Good Food; Nice Atmosphere

by DavidRF

I've only eaten here 2 times, and while the service was a little slow, it was around lunchtime both times and they were crowded. Didn't have a problem with the service or the staff, that I can recall. If you're in a hurry, probably not the best place to go at lunch, but it does have good music and good atmosphere. Food is good, and not expensive. I'd say defintiely give it a shot at least once.

  • Pros: Good food, good amibiance
  • Cons: No parking, but this is common for this area with most parking being street parking.
