great breakfast
by abem222 at Citysearch
If you can manage to make it here earlier than the rest of the crowd, you shouldn't have much of a wait. The reason why there is such a long wait is clear... great food and service. Check it out for breakfast.
- Pros: omelets, corned beef hash, great service
- Cons: long wait on the weekends
Goto Denny's

You could get a better breakfast at Denny's for half the price. Seriously !
Overpriced and rude service are the norm here. The only reason they are in business is the location. That is it folks !
good food horrible staff
by uhseattle at Citysearch
my first experience here was not what i expected. the staff was rude, including the older male employee who appeared to be a staff manager. i felt "rushed" to order with the server and "rushed" to pay up as the hostile milieu of the lobby filled with waiting customers. overall, the food was enjoyable but the sequence and presentation of service was horrible.
- Cons: rude staff
Best Breakfast!

Sounds like they need to change their staff, but they do still have the breakfast in town. I love the eggs benedict. We have been going to QAC for many years and still love it. It is good basic breakfast that leaves you full and satisfied.
Horribly Rude Staff
by girlfloyd at Citysearch
My family came here for a Sunday breakfast and our waitress (an older lady w/ brown hair) was so horribly rough and rude that we actually walked out. We did not feel welcome AT ALL. And that's too bad because it's in a great location.
I will NEVER go to this diner again.

The waitress (i think her name was Patti) was so very rude! The food was OK but this woman should not curse around my children! The kitchen screams cursing too! There seemed to be conflict all around us while we were trying to enjoy our breakfast. On my way out I tried to speak to a man who claimed to be the owner. He was rude as well and had no interest in what I was talking about..
no way will I recommend this place to anyone.
- Pros: good location
- Cons: rude wait staff, dirty tables, cursing coming from the kitchen out to customers area
Homey dining that fits the Queen Anne neighborhood to a T.

The Scene
Crowds at Sunday brunch attest to the cafe's popularity, while the modest, approachable menu speaks to its accessibility. Warm, sponge-painted walls and silver mica lamps evoke a Restoration Hardware sensibility, while hushed pop tunes and for-sale paintings from local artists only increase the comfort factor.
The Food
A short, diverse menu hosts everything from meat-and-potatoes entrees (meat loaf, stuffed chicken, roast pork chops) to mammoth salads, pasta dishes and classic sandwiches like the Reuben and patty melt. Specials might include a tender mushroom ravioli or a savory lasagna, while the thoughtful wine and dessert lists round things out nicely.
Absolutely amazing food and great service!

My dad and I were trying to find that 5 Spot Cafe last Friday and couldn't but we did came across this Queen Anne Cafe next to Paragon and figured we'd give it a shot. I got a House Omelette (bacon, mushrooms etc) and it was perfect...as were the hashbrowns, english muffin, and the orange juice...oh my god was it good. It may very well have been just extra pulpy, from-a-carton, but it sure as hell tasted like fresh squeezed...I guess I never asked. Anyhow, my dad and I had a great time, our server, Penny, was absolutely amazing (in more ways than one)...everyone including her was very friendly and the food just couldn't be beat. Highly recommended and you better believe I'll be back again soon. : )
- Pros: Service, upscale diner style, food
- Cons: parking
A mystification
by troutonfly at Citysearch
It's puzzling to me how a restaurant with such wonderful breakfasts can serve such awful dinners. The uninspired dinner we had the other night makes me question whether I'll be back for breakfast, even.
- Pros: Close to other dining
- Cons: , Boring food
Better than average food - but spendy
by voodoodaddy60 at Citysearch
My breakfast was decent. Restaurant is a cross b/w a diner/art house. The social atmosphere is suitable to bring a friend. The prices are a bit on the high side for breakfast. It is generally full of yuppies with cell phones. Service was good though, contrary to an early review.
- Pros: Good atmosphere, Friendly Staff, Good not great food
- Cons: Yuppies, Slightly overpriced
