I went to Frenchy's to get a pedicure before Mother's Day because I'd been given a gift certificate. I was also a new mom, looking forward to some time alone. While I waited for my pedicurist, I noted all the signs advertising "mother's day specials" and "time with mom". While I had my pedicure, my mom was out and about in the neighborhood with my 7-week-old baby. She returned when I was finished, and as we were getting ready to leave, he started-- as babies are prone to do-- to fuss a little. We were trying to stay out of the way of the crowded entrance. A few minutes after he started fussing, a woman came out of a room nearby and said in such a rude voice, "I'm trying to give a facial in here!" I almost didn't know what to say-- I was so stunned by her rudeness. I was also struck by the contradiction-- the entrance was so crowded and noisy, I don't know how anyone could relax. When I told my husband about what happened, he decided to call Frenchy's and let them know of my unpleasant experience. He was very polite and said if he'd been a manager there he would like to know. The part that really gets me is that the manager told him a customer had complained about a crying baby earlier that day and that they are "not a child-friendly establishment" as indicated by a sign on the door and on their website. My husband suggested they increase the visibility of their signage (I remember seeing no such sign in the store), and perhaps not advertise Mother's Day specials so strongly if they weren't child-friendly (how can you be mother-friendly if you aren't child-friendly?). Go to their website and see if you see anywhere anything posted about children or babies-- I certainly didn't. While my pedicure was fine, it wasn't worth the curt, defensive, and poor customer service I received. Even if they send me a gift certificate (which the manager offered to do), I won't go back, nor would I recommend this place to anyone.

Pros: Decent pedicure...maybe?

Cons: Rude staff, crowded and noisy, poor customer service
