Fantastic Experience!

I have been going to Derby for almost a year now, and I cannot say enough good things about it! I see Stephanie for waxing. She is great! She takes her time without keeping me there for a long time. She is friendly, great with shaping, and I have referred several friends to her.

I just started seeing someone new for hair. I am kind of a pain client because I come in every few months wanting a new cut and color but not really sure what I want. Dana, who I just saw, was the best! She matched me with a new color, style, and even bangs. I was a little bit worried especially when she said "bangs", but it looks fantastic. She, like everyone at Derby, was friendly and enjoyable to be around.

I would highly recommend going to Derby!

• Pros: Friendly, reasonably priced, easy to get an appointment
• Cons: Parking during the week

Chivahn = amazing!

Chivahn is amazing!! Not only does she always get my color just right, but I know that she does it for others - three of my roommates see her too! She's good about making out what I am trying to say - I'm not so hip with the hair lingo, but she works her Pinktastic magic and gets it right every time!

She's very creative and detail oriented - if you want blonde highlights or a new bright green coif, she's your gal.

I'll never see anyone else!

• Pros: Chivahn, wine, Sadie the shop dog!
• Cons: pay to park, but visit on Sundays and street parking is free :)

Worth Your Time, Money and Well-Being!!!

OK...so I usually never take the time to write reviews but... Jesse ROCKS!! I have been going to her for the last 2 years. I am constantly asked where & who cuts my hair! Heather A. & Stephanie does fantabulous waxing. They are efficient, precise and puts alot of care and gentleness in their work. Heather B. & Xoichil know how to give the most earth-shattering pedicure and hottest manicures.

Going to Derby is an "Oh-My-God" moment! You leave there as if you've gone to heaven and back.

The staff are welcoming and always offer your choice of water, hot tea or coffee.

As my "home-away-from-home"... I always look forward to going there. There is a "feel-good" vibe among everyone working there and there is an obvious friendly relationship established with customers.

DOUBLE- THUMBS UP for DERBY!!

Great place to get a color and cut!

Chauvan was great! I went to see her for a color and cut and she really took the time to listen to me and discuss my hair type. I would definitely recommend her!

Curly hair love!!!

I went in to Derby (it was my first time) a little scared, if you have curly hair you would understand why. I was put at ease by the wonderful receptionist who offered me a beverage (wine!!) and some magazines to look through. Jefflin came over and sat down next to me to talk about the pictures of hair styles I was looking at and we talked a little right there about what I was looking for.( I have to say that really helped me relax) When we sat down she really listened to me and what I wanted. The haircut is amazing and the color is really beautiful, i have had so many compliments. I would recommend Jefflin and Derby to anyone!!!

Best Group of Hair & Body Friends a girl could have!!

I have been going to Derby Salon since they first opened. I have been going for both my hair (cut & color), and my body (massage & nails). Every time I have been in I have been treated with exceptional service from everyone there, and they have gone above and beyond to accommodate me when I was running late or needed to reschedule. They even throw in the nice compliments when I've been "transformed" into the new, more sleek looking me...now that's just extra sweet, isn't it?!

I see KC for my hair - the man is a GOD with color! Seriously! I don't trust just anyone to my fair locks...(and I think may be the only straight guy in Seattle who can do hair the way he does!)

I see Xochil for both massage and nails, and she is the GODDESS of pampering and provides top notch care and attention to every detail of my treatments.

Every time I have been there they make me feel like I am part of the Derby Family. I have not seen this kind of ambiance anywhere - its a chill, low key place for a girl to get her hair and nails done, and with the happy hour brow waxes? Watch me swoon!

I HEART DERBY 4-EVER!!

Great Customer Service

I went there for Mothers Day! i was greeted with a Great Smile and a Mimosa...I had a terrific pedicure...now you can get a pedicure most places, I found mine to have been not only exhilarating but enjoyed the conversation. My Facial was to die for. I was limp with pleasure!!! This Salon is exceptional not only does it provide the array of services that many spas do but it is also a place that supports community benefits and is a great employer!!!

Rude and Unfriendly

I took my mom here for her wedding day mani/pedi-the service was horrible. the nail technician was bossy, she kept speaking to my mom and me with attitude. She also made several comments on how if we haven't been getting regular pedicures she didn't know how good the nails were going to turn out...I've never heard of such a thing.

Beware if you have a lot of hair, they wouldn't take the time with me and I left with wet hair

I have really thick hair and a lot of it. I went with great expectations. I was excited to try out a new salon in my neighborhood. I wanted a new look. I really loved my haircut. She did a great job on the color. The problem was I went to a particular hair dresser because she came highly recommended and she pushed me off onto another hairdresser because my cut and color was taking too long and her next customer had already come. I had told the receptionist when i made the appt that I have a lot of hair, it usually takes hairdressers longer to cut/color my hair but i got bumped. I thought that was very rude.
