Small neighborhood puppet theater has been entertaining kids for more than two decades.

Overview
The center, which moved here in 1993 from the Phinney Ridge Neighborhood Center, is one of just a handful of full-time professional puppet centers in the United States. Chris and Stephen Carter founded it in 1986 as a home for their company of puppets, the Carter Family Marionettes. The center features new and favorite works by the Carters, productions from guest artists, workshops and touring shows.
The Experience
Downstairs in the lobby you'll find restrooms, a concession stand (cookies, coffee and juice), the box office and a closet-size gift shop selling books and puppets. Upstairs, the theater is decorated with a vaguely Alpine theme, and the large, durable-carpeted room is decidedly kid-friendly. There are rows of chairs for those so inclined, but most children sit on the floor near the low stage. Show themes typically focus on animals, folk tales or traditional holiday stories and run under an hour.
