Best Barbeque Food
by saundradavis
Jones Barbeque has the most tender, mouthwatering ribs one's mouth can crave. You won't be disappointed because this barbeque is so delectable that I have it shipped from Seattle, Washington to Culver, City California. The sauce is so good that I attempted to stretch it when I was running out. I hid the bottle from the rest of the family when I realized their taste buds were also craving it, because my family was to the point of pouring it on everything they ate including french fries, potatoes ground beef and even salad. The meat is to die for and so is the sauce...so I hid it before we reverted to cave-like behavior. We need a Jones Barbeque in the Los Angeles area.
A good place.

Jones Real Pit Barbeque!!
by leannemjones1
Jones Barbeque is real Southern BBQ!!! Each Restaurant has a pit that blows smoke you can smell miles away.. The ribs are so tender they just fall off the bones and the sauce is amazing. I suggest you try to vist one of their four locations, you will not be dissapointed. If you don't agree with me than you don't know BARBEQUE!!!!
- Pros: Real BBQ, Great people
This is not bbq

I think I must have a fundamentally different definition of barbecue: it is primarily SMOKED meat, served with sauce on the side. There are too many places in Seattle -- Jones being a huge offender -- that think that if they cook meat in barbecue sauce in the oven or on the stove, that makes it barbecue. While this was by no means inedible, it wasn't worth seeking out. The brisket was tender, but smothered in too sweet sauce and obviously cooked in the oven. Sides were average.
Very disappointing.
- Cons: , smothered in sauce
Best BBQ

I've tried just about all the BBQ joints in WA. This happens to be my favorite. The sauce is great and so are the ribs. Service is good, place is clean and once again the ribs are tasty.
Best Barbeque at Bite/Taste 2004!
by smile123
Now that's what I'm talkin bout! Once again Jones Barbeque holds reign to the title of "Best Barbeque" at the Bite of Seattle and the Taste of Tacoma, 2004.
I was amazed at how FAST their service was! While other booths had lines out the park, Jones got their orders out Q-U-I-C-K! Their ethusiastic staff had the crowds dancing and enjoying the Oh SO GOOD BBQ.
Meat was nice, hot and fresh, and sauce was fantastic. They also had mouthwatering strawberry shortcakes and refreshing root beer floats. Shortcakes were cheaper, better and bigger than the famous SHORTCAKE BOOTH.
These people got me hooked! It's true: Jones Barbeque IS Seattles Best Barbeque
Not a great value

Having lived down the street from Jones, I ate there often, but only cuz it was close. Service is slow, but more importantly they charge a lot for their bbq, which is just ok.
- Pros: Good pecan pie, Good greens
- Cons: , not great bbq, too expensive
Pretty disappointed!!!

Service was great. Food was OK. Place was clean. The meat was so hard and the sauce that goes on top of it was OK. Some ppl might enjoy it. Its just not my kind of ribs and I had better. I must praise again that the CUSTOMER SERVICE was great !!!!!
Central District takeout spot serves tender meats and tangy sauce that has barbecue fans jonesing for more.

The Scene
It's not the ritziest neighborhood around, but people aren't cramming into Jones for the atmosphere or the view of the tire store across the parking lot. Inside a grayish-blue building that's seen better days, grandmas, hep cats and the occasional guy in Tevas line up to wait for Styrofoam containers full of brisket and potato salad.
The Food
Seattle doesn't have much good barbecue, but it does have Jones. Smoky meats are smothered Texas-style in tangy sauce that's so tasty, you'll be sopping it up with hunks of white bread. Tender brisket, ribs, chicken and sausage paired with a side of crisp, slightly sweet slaw, creamy potato salad and baked beans--it's a delicious feast. Cool things off with a slice of sweet potato pie or refreshing lemon cake.
