I moved up to Seattle from Portland in June and started going to Salon Joseph. It is close to where I live but mostly I went because I knew Ashley prior. I was a little nervous, because I didn't want to have to stop going to see her because of poor services. (she has been friends with my fiancee's family longer than my fiancee and I have known each other!) Needless to say, I was very happy with the services she provided and have not stopped going since my first visit. I always look forward to seeing her and have a blast getting my hair cut and colored. She does a great job of suggesting ways to update my hair and isn't pushy about it. I would recommend her to anyone that recently moved to the Seattle area.

i love this salon. and i love my stylist, Monica. i know that once i sit in her chair i will come out looking great!!! i've never had a bad experience at salon joseph, i've tried many salons, as well as many stylist. it took me about 4 years to finally find someone to trust with my hair. i love that monica is so creative. she asks me what i'd like to do, i give her an general idea of what i'd like to do and from there i put it in her hands because i know she'll make it look amazing. i don't know where i'd be with monica.

Due to previous BAD experiences (before meeting Monica), I was very paranoid regarding my hair and I was extremely anxious about getting anything done to it. In my experiences most hairdressers chop my length and gave me the hairstyle of their choice rather than listen to my requests. Monica is very trustworthy and I often just tell her to decide what is best for me. She always remembers my personal preferences yet introduces colors, styles, current trends and techniques that are always personalized. I have been relying on her expertise for over three years and have been ecstatic after every visit with her. She always recommends products that are great for my hair but is never pushy and often suggests things I can do without product. I feel that Monica really cares about me, the health and integrity of my hair. She has taught me a lot about keeping long hair silky and sassy. Monica is always prompt with a smile and genuinely happy to see me. She is organized and her station is clean and aesthetically pleasing. She mixes it up enough to keep me excited and in style, but also respects my limits and knows my personality. Monica is an excellent combination of positive energy, creativity and a knowledgeable professional. I love her and you will too!!

A friend of mine recommended Ashley about a year ago and I have been going to her ever since. She is so fun to be around and I always love my haircuts!

I was looking to chop ALL my hair off (think Hali Beri) and started asking friends/coworkers to see which local salon they used. I’d tried a few around Seattle, but none I was truly satisfied with. After a handful of people all recommended the same place--Salon Joseph--I knew it was reliable. Plus, these people all had good hair styles to back them up. I got my hair cut by Joseph and it was AMAZING!! I gave him some guidelines, but told him I was open to suggestions. He made sure to check in with me all during the "event" and I LOVE my new haircut. Joseph knows what works well with different hair types/face shapes, but also listens to the customer to make sure you’re comfortable with the finished product. Also, he's great if you want to try bangs. I've never really had a haircut with bangs that I liked, but Joseph changed all that. I'm a regular now, and can't wait to get my mom up here to get her in his chair. Thanks, Joseph!

If you are looking for a great salon with excellent customer service Salon Joseph is definitly the best choice. I see Travis and have never left an appointment happier than when I go to see him. His attention to detail is amazing. The best part is the whole time he's cutting, he explains what he is doing and why it will work for your hair type/face shape, etc. I absolutley love him!!! I've already referred my mom, sister, and a girlfriend. They all loved him as well.

I have been going to see Monica for almost 2 years. Like the other reviewers, she always listens to what I want. I have very long hair and like to keep it that way. In the past, I have had bad experiences at other salons with people getting "sissor happy" since I have so much hair. This has never happened with Monica, she respects the fact that I want to keep my hair long. I also get my hair colored and have had updo's done with her, she always does a great job! We have changed the shade of my hair quite a few times, and she always comes up with a great color combinations that goes well with my complextion and my personality. I would recommend Monica to anyone, I have been more than happy with the service that she provides in addition to being a great stylist.

Pros: Great Stylist!

Cons: Parking can be tough sometimes

You must go visit Monica at Salon Joseph. She does such a wonderful job! She listens to what you want and gives you great hair every time. I went in there with hair down to the middle of my back and left with a cute, short, sassy haircut! I've been a customer for almost two years. The salon itself has a great atmosphere and everyone is very nice.

I recently just started going to Salon Joseph and I love it. I see Monica and she is AMAZING. I was extremely bored with my hair and wanted something jazzy! So I told her to CHOP it all off. Then she colored it, also AMAZING. I've never been so happy with my hair color. The price is VERY reasonable. I finally found a hair stylist I can trust again. and that is VERY important to me. Monica is brilliant! She always tells me what fun ideas she has for my hair. And I love that. I'm looking forward to my next appointment with her and to hear what fresh ideas she has for my head!!! thanks monica!

Ashley has been doing my hair for a few years now and I won't go to anyone else. She taught me how to work my curls and has added fabulous color. I completely trust her judgment. She's hip to what's hot/what's not, she's funny as all get out, and she is very professional. She can give me gorgeous curls, make it sleek and smooth, or dry it so it's nice and soft. I get compliments on my hair constantly and so do the people that I recommend to Ashely. From my observations, all of the other stylists at Salon Joseph do fabulous work as well. My highest recommendations for Ashley and Salon Joseph!!!

Pros: Easy parking on street.
