If you really care about getting the perfect wedding dress..

There was absolutely no way the wedding dress I envisioned could have been made without Kiko. I had a year and a half to find my perfect wedding dress and I started looking from the beginning. I spent months walking in (and quickly out) of all the bridal shops in the Seattle area and I even shopped in Miami when visiting my sister! I wanted my dress to be more red carpet than bridal and I was looking for something unique and stylish and “me”. I started to reach the point of panic because I couldn’t find anything even close to what I imagined. So, one day I did a quick sketch of the dress I wanted and searched online for “custom wedding dresses”. I visited two other shops before finding Kiko. One shop requested I find the fabric myself (what??!) and another wanted me to pay the price of a good used car to piece together something from other dresses they already had. Finally, I met with Kiko and I knew he understood what I wanted. The key elements to my dress design involved a difficult dye process and delicate sheer draping around my arms instead of sleeves. He confidently told me he could make it happen. He tweaked my drawing and made suggestions which made the dress more flattering for my body and structurally realistic. Kiko assured me that I would be involved in every step of the process and he wasn’t kidding! We chose the fabric together, did fittings with each layer, and he even consulted me for shoes, hair, makeup, proper undergarments, and custom jewelry. When you work with him you’re not just getting a dress, you will come out with a complete look. Kiko takes into consideration the entire vision and feel of the type of wedding you’re having. One of my favorite quotes was, “You’re getting married at Columbia Tower. You have to have a train!” He talked to the groom as well and gave him valuable guidance on the color and look of his suit, tie, and shoes.

When the day of the wedding finally arrived, I was so excited to wear the dress of my dreams which had been perfectly executed by Kiko. I think everyone in attendance was blown away by it’s beauty and creativity. While out taking our pictures, I even got stopped in the street by strangers who told me my dress was so beautiful and unlike any wedding dress they’d ever seen. I simply cannot say enough great things about this man. When I thought I’d have to settle on something that was just good enough, I found him and he made me a dress which was even better than I could have imagined. I think for most brides, their wedding dress is one of the most important pieces of their wedding day and there is nothing like having a dress custom made for you. There’s also nothing better than working with someone who is honest, patient, creative, perfectionistic, and hilarious too. I already miss having appointments with Kiko and I’m totally addicted to the luxury of custom clothing! Now, if I can just figure out how to justify hiring him to make my entire wardrobe……

Kiko is absolutely fabulous!!

I would highly recommend him to anyone!! He made the most perfect dress for my big day. I tried looking online for dresses that I would even consider trying on and just couldn't find anything I wanted anywhere. His designs are one of a kind, he listens to what you like/want, and helps you feel comfortable no matter the type of figure you may have. He uses very high quality fabric and makes sure every little detail is perfect. From start to finish, this was one of the best parts of preparing for my wedding, and I loved the end result!!

Dream come true!

Kiko created a stunning, exquisite, elegant wedding gown for me which was beyond my greatest expectations. When I first met with Kiko, I was feeling frustrated and discouraged after visiting many dress shops, feeling that I would never find that perfect dress. But as I described my vision for the gown, Kiko drew a wonderful sketch of exactly what I had in mind! We discussed many different options and I was able to see the progress of the dress every step of the way...choosing the fabric, going over the design for the bodice & skirt, and discussing numerous options for the bustle. Kiko's expertise and honesty was greatly appreciated when discussing the design for the dress. Kiko is a perfectionist, and he will involve you every step of the way to make sure that your dress is perfect for you. In the final months before the wedding, I was very busy & stressed and began "shrinking", in both the waist and bust. I was very concerned that the dress was not going to fit, but Kiko made sure that it was a perfect fit and I felt beautiful in that dress on my wedding day. Kiko also helped me to find my bridal jewelry by contacting someone to make a custom necklace and earrings using the same pearls and Swarovski crystals he used on my dress, so that it was a perfect match. Another wonderful trait is Kiko's calm and relaxed presence--something that I really appreciated amidst the craziness of planning a wedding. I really cannot say enough wonderful things about Kiko. If you are looking for a custom made wedding or evening gown, do not hesitate to go straight to Kiko!

Simply elegant!

Finding Kiko was a dream come true. I am 6'3" tall and finding a dress off the shelf was not an option. Kiko designed a dress that made my tall frame flow elegantly and was a perfect look for our beach wedding. He was incredibly accommodating to my tight schedule and limited availability. The end result was a gorgeous heirloom piece that I will treasure and pass on. Thank you Kiko!

I?m really not sure I could ever say everything I want to say about Kiko. He dealt with my extreme pear shaped plus size body, and made me feel beautiful (sadly, a rare occasion for me.) All while staying well within my budget! He was kind, sweet, funny, supportive, full of ideas, and listened carefully at all times. He is just a dream. Of all my vendors, Kiko is the only one who, by then end, I felt a sincere emotional connection with. I wholeheartedly recommend him.

From someone who tried all the rest, I can tell you, Kiko is the best! From the moment I first spoke with Kiko, I knew he would provide me with the custom bridal gown of my dreams. Kiko is fun, personable, professional, and compassionate. As someone who is both self-conscious and unsure of herself when it comes to fashion, I searched for custom dress makers who could help steer me in the right direction and help me design a dress that both flattered me and made me comfortable. Unlike the other dress makers I visited, Kiko was willing to be flexible and to work with my budget and with my very vague concept of what I was looking for in a wedding gown. Kiko knew exactly what would make me look my best and he created a dress and veil that defied all of my expectations. Kiko made this very nervous bride feel beautiful, confident, and comfortable, and for that I cannot thank him enough.

The process of working with Kiko was fabulous...I felt like I had a partner in creating the dress that was the best fit and best design for me. I enjoyed all aspects of the process - from concept/design to the final dress fitting. It was fun. I think the most fun was the final fitting when Kiko helped me to play "dress up" with shoes and jewelry. If you're looking for someone to relax and have a good time with while creating a great memorable dress...Kiko is your man.

Completely Stress-Free Experience - One of a Kind Gown!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kiko. He made me feel so comfortable and completely at ease during the whole process. He knew exactly what type of wedding dress would look good on me and he listened to my suggestions and then created a gown that was absolutely perfect and exceeded all of my expectations! I got endless complements on my gown during the wedding! The fittings were extremely stress-free and Kiko created an upbeat environment that made me feel more reassured every time I went into his shop. My veil that he made was also wonderful and the ring bearer pillow that he created matched my dress and was so cute! In addition, Kiko offered free advice to my mom who was trying to assemble her outfit for the wedding as well. He gave her helpful suggestions on what things she needed to look for and she looked wonderful as well! Kiko has a great sense of humor and you will always feel at ease and reassured. I am so happy that I had Kiko make my wedding dress - I cannot recommend him enough! I feel so lucky to have been a Kiko bride!

One less thing to worry about

Like so many other people who have written reviews about Kiko, I too felt stuck and lost after visiting numerous bridal shops and not finding the right wedding dress. Kiko helped me in so many ways. He is not ony reasonable, (he'll give you different quotes for different fabrics so that you can find something in your price range), but he can piece together the dress you want based on details of different dresses you've seen and liked. I was a little nervous that I was going to be committing myself to a dress before I could even see it, but there was nothing to worry about. Each visit with Kiko there was little more dress to try on until it was all finished and beatiful. At one point, I tried on the almost finished product and was worried about the cut, but didn't say anything. That night I emailed him to ask if I could come back in, when I came back, I had him raise the skirt 1.25 inches and he didn't even bat an eye. He makes it a priority to keep a smile on your face. Thanks Kiko. My dress is amazing and one of a kind.
