Marco's Supperclub is still a great neighborhood eatery.
by mgmwaliw
I went with a group of three to Marco's last night. It was my first visit in a couple years. I'm happy to report that the food is still exceptional. In the past few weeks I've been to several fine restaurants in Seattle, including Crush, Marjorie, Tavolata, Qube & Amber. My favorite remains Marco's. I love the casual, cozy, atmosphere. The service was spot on and the food was great. The fried sage leaves with dipping sauces was a great starter. I loved the pork chop, it was thick and cooked to perfection. My friends thoroughly enjoyed their entrees of Muscles & Clams and Mahi Mahi. It was a thoroughly enjoyable dinning experience and I look forward to returning to this long-standing, neighborhood eatery.
- Pros: Food, Atmosphere, Service
- Cons: Parking
Not like it used to be.

Love the room and the atmosphere, but the food is average at best. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but I am not going back anymore--too many better places to eat in town!
The bar is the best

Three words: fried sage leaves. Dipped in aoili, with a glass of wine, worth a trip to the bar anytime.
I've never eaten in the restaurant and never been on the back patio, but heard they're both amazing. I often meet people at Marco's for a pre-dinner nosh or a post-happy-hour treat. The bar is dark and sultry, the bartenders friendly and helpful, the crowd eclectic and definitely not the typical Belltown denizens. Love it here.
Great place for lite socializing on a date

Food was great, service was appropriate, lighting and ambience were well done. Drinks were well-made. Seats were a little uncomfortable, but we weren't there long, so they were acceptable.
- Pros: food, ambience, service
- Cons: no parking, but hey, it's downtown...
Loved it!

Delicious food, the Chile Relleno rocks. We tried the sage leaves, they were VERY salty, skip those. Awesome wine list! The restaurant is very intimate, great ambiance and wonderful for couples or a small group. I never once thought it was too loud. The service was average. The first time we went to Marco's, the service was pretty bad and our server was mildly rude. But, the food and ambiance made up for it! The other times the service was much better. Highly recommend!
- Cons: Parking
Iconic Seattle experience!
by markus4star
The salt & pepper shakers are all unique and the chairs all varying which add to the unique setting. Don't let the seemingly kitschy decorations fool you as though the service is par none, the food first class and in general, the value for the money provides a truly Seattle iconic experience that never fails to disappoint. p.s. Try the sage leaf appy!
Tasty without the attitude

I love love LOVE my steak well done. I say this here with the security of anonimity. This is the firts place I have ever been to that they accepted my taste with open arms and cooked the meat to perfection. Marcos has the best steak Ive ever had!
Congenial service, adventurous global cuisine and a warm atmosphere make this a favorite Belltown haunt.

The Scene
Singles sit at a bar that runs nearly the depth of the room; couples and groups of 20- to 50-somethings huddle around candlelit tables. Summertime draws crowds to the enchanting covered patio in back. Servers weave by inconspicuously.
The Food
The chef advocates a spin-the-globe menu approach that produces Southern smoked pork loin, Indian-spiced lamb shank, Jamaican jerk chicken and Thai-sauced ahi. There's much to recommend, including the appetizer of fried sage leaves with three dipping sauces; a salad of prawns, couscous and grilled asparagus in a sensational preserved-lemon vinaigrette; the smoked pork loin with accompanying salty, spicy sauteed greens and cool onion marmalade. If you have any room left, try the pecan-studded bread pudding.
One of my long-time favorites

Marco's has a great atmosphere (light, music), wonderful NW food, the service is consistently solid and friendly (without being overly so), and Marco has a strong wine list. What more could you want? It's not a quiet place, but I've never found it too loud and when you look around at the 25 or so tables, there are so many interesting people enjoying conversation. This is one of my favorite places to have a special dinner with friends and has been for years. Marco's is as good as ever.
- Pros: Food, Atmosphere, Marco
- Cons: , Little free parking
Loved It!

We went out to Marco's on a girls weekend and this was by far our favorite restaurant (we tried Etta's and Dalhia Lounge...not so good). The food was fantastic (fried sage leaves to die for), service was excellent and we all enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere. Marco was particularly charming!
- Pros: service, food, atmosphere
