It's nice to hang out with some games....
There was big bunch of ruffians hanging out when we first showed up, but inside was actually pretty calm (Sunday around 5).

I like this bar! They have liquor icee's and they are very strong and delicious! They also have hot and veg dogs for when you get that drunk craving for food, which are quite GOOD. The music is AWESOME on Tuesday nights when they have Punk night with live DJ's up front. On the weekends they open up the back bar and that is a very chill area with these cool bar seats and on Friday night the bartender in back is quite nice to look at. So I definitely recommend visiting her for some drinks. They also have tons of pinbal machines in the back and video games up front. One more thing they have CLOWNS, need I say more.
- Pros: clowns, drinks, dogs, pinball
- Cons: ??

The sweetest bartenders, great prices on drinks, great atmosphere. Unpretentious and hospitable, I would recommend it to pretty much anyone. Don't expect it to be fancy, but not the least bit stuck up either. They've been there forever and will never change (we hope). Pinball is fun!!
- Pros: Cool and casual, fun
- Cons: Not much to look at, but who cares!

You can learn a lot about someone from a night of PBR and Pinball, besides if they don't like PBR and Pinball they aren't worth a second date.
great place to meet locals

I like this place. It has that creepy/seedy feel to it but with pinball games and killer hotdogs and beer. What's there to complain about? Pure shameless fun. Careful though..there are a lot of pinball junkies. Try to avoid bets, as you may lose your beer or your high score.
Located in Belltown in downtown Seattle. Also sandwiched between a few good bars and the famous Crocodile Cafe(music venue). You must try once, at least.
PROS: Pinball, hotdogs, beer, weird people, location
CONS: pinball wizards, weird people, small area
Good Old School and New Video Game Selection, Yummy Food! by Sara G. at InsiderPages

I love this place so much....where to start. Lots of fun lights and crazy evil and sad clown decor. They have the tastiest hot dogs ever, and the strangest selection of other food items. For example, they offer organic TV dinner, which I admittedly have not eaten, but it sounds like it might be yummy. I usually stick to the Vienna Beef hot dog, Chicago Sytle, to remind me of my hometown, or the nachos. They also have veggie dogs for the veggie peeps.
Aside from the games, they also have some activites, such as Wrestling Night, where you can gather round the TV at the bar and watch some WWE Wrestling with some interesting folks. On other nights they have an interesting mix of DJ's spinning. Not that there is any room to dance, you just listen while you get your video games on.
They have a great selection of pinball games in the back room, and in the front room they have my two personal favorite games, Buckhunter, and a stand-up Ms. PacMan, which very unfortunately has an unlimited continue feature that
PROS: Great location, great games, yummy hot food, not too pricey beer, comfy booths to sit in, and an interesting mix of customers; all these a great combo for a fun outing.
CONS: Bathrooms slightly gross, hard to find a place to sit on the weekends, but you should be up playing games anyway!

Shorty's is a Coney Island-style pinball bar. The front room consists of a clown-adorned bar, circus-themed frescos, old school arcardes, and cozy booths ingeniously made of retro pinball machines. The melange of pinball games in back range from JackBot to the Addams Family to Lord of the Rings. Shorty's menu offers the regular array of bar drinks along with a variety of hot dogs (meat or vegi) and nachos (all under 4 bucks!). If you're into pinball, check out the annual pinball tournaments, general & powderpuff.
PROS: A pinball lover's heaven.
CONS:
Old-school vid's, hot dogs and beer.

The Scene
A handsome Bobby Love circus mural is emblazoned on the restaurant's end wall. Diners sit at a lunch counter that could be from Woolworth's; well-muscled, T-shirted young men and women apply blistering intensity to Shorty's other main attraction--a long bank of arcade games that includes oldies such as Donkey Kong and Centipede.
The Draw
The kielbasa, German sausage and New York kosher dogs are fine, if a bit muted for West Coast tastes. The best is the Italian hot link, which is actually hot and offers a heady rush of fennel. Have two--with a Coke, the tab will be about $6. Or relax with a very reasonably priced cocktail in lounge.

Shorty's is my favorite place in Seattle!
Pinball, cheap beer, Hot Dogs and all those clown paintings, oh and make sure to check outthe Velvet Elvis painting above the bar, that's not a Microphone in his hand!
No attitude, the backroom with the Pinball is great, the Dr. Who one is my favorite.
You can go there, enjoy a night out,not break the bank and be greeted by a friendly bar staff.
I highly recommend Shorty's!
