This was the worst dining experience that I have had recently in Seattle. Please think twice before spending any money on the poorly prepared menu items at Rosebud. The beet in my "Roasted Beet Salad" was so salty I had to drink an entire glass of water after the first bite. The "salad" was HALf a very salty beet decoratively placed among 3 canoe shaped goat cheese parcels. This was no salad- but rather goat cheese with unedible beet and an artful, but burnt artichoke leaf garnish. Being an optimistic person, I was hopeful that my "salad" was just an annomily- alas, the entrees were just as disappointing- if not more. "Wild mushroom and Squash Risotto cakes" had no discernable mushroom or squash and were so mushy, bland and textureless that I gave up even before I attempted the tomato and cannolini bean concoction that as far as I could tell was the result of the kitchen opening a can of tomato chunks and heating them up with uncooked cannolini beans and dumping them over the mushy rice patties. The chard that was hidden between the two mushy rice patties was overly peppered and again had me reaching for the water. It is so utterly frustrating to have a menu with such potential, be such an unforgiving dissappointment (Roasted beet salad and mushroom squash risotto cakes in any semi-professional kitchen- or even at home with a novice cook-could/should be very flavorful dishes without much diffculty). My word of advie to Rosebud- START PAYING ATTENTION TO THE FOOD COMING OUT OF YOUR KITCHEN- from the looks of the reviews you are getting here- the message is clear- Your food is far below the standard your menu and prices indicate it should be. Pity the fool that spends hard-earned money on such slop.
Pros: none
Cons: The food
