America's first mall brings shoppers to the North Seattle.

In Short
Since the 1950s this shopping destination has been a favorite among the old and young alike. With more than 125 specialty shops, a food court, and large anchor stores Nodstrom, J.C. Penney's and Macys, there's a full range of options for everyone's needs. Teenagers pick out the hottest new skate and snowboarding gear at Zumiez while soccer moms juggling three kids and a latte might find the time to fit in a haircut at Gene Juarez.

Northgate mall is pretty good. I think you can find better values here than some of the other bigger malls. I can't say that I went to this mall a lot. It is close enough U and when I didnt feel like battling the crowds downtown, it was an excellent mall to go to. They also have pretty good specialty and department stores.
- Pros: Good mall, good shopping, not too crowded

Northgate is a nice small-medium sized mall with good anchor department stores like Macy's and Nordstroms. The layout, which I hear is because it was among the first indoor malls, is really odd. It is one long strip with the food court on one end. Unfortunately that is also where the restrooms are so if you're shopping at say Pac Sun at the other end, you'll have to trek way down to the other end of the mall to go to the bathroom.
- Pros: decent anchor stores
- Cons: strange layout
