Sooooo good
by suzymccormick
Seriously - sooooo good. Standard diner/cafe food but with a fresh, comfort feel to it. They make their own salsa - they should jar it and sell it! Sometimes the service may not be prompt due to how busy they are, but the staff is always attentive and friendly.
- Pros: Fantastic food, fun ambiance, friendly staff
Burgers, Beers and Fries
by orangehouse
We went here base don the reviews and the location. We'll be going back based on the burgers, the beer, the fires and the salad. The staff is/was very nice. Very cool retro-vibe on the inside, and the front patio is very entertaining.
- Pros: It's all good.
- Cons: Hmmmmmm...
Best Burgers in a fun atmosphere
by patrickallen78
Fun atmosphere, like a fifties diner with individual juke boxes at every table. The wait staff all have kind of a punk vibe and are always attentive, helpful and johnny on the spot. I consider myself a burger afficiando and was totally blown away by the burgers at Luna Park, get a hand dipped milkshake to go with it and you are set. This is an excellent place for a weekend breakfast as well.
- Pros: Atmosphere, waitstaff and good down home food
- Cons: none
Great food, fun atmosphere...
by shoobashooba
Recently tried Luna Park with a big group of friends and it was fantastic! The food was wonderful and the servers were extremely accomodating to our large group. Friendly and fun, it really made our experience wonderful. The place kind of looks like a museum, lots of memorabilia to gawk at. The breakfast was so delicious, we can't wait to try the lunch menu! We'll put it on the top of our list to return.
The Truth about Luna Park Cafe, as told from the customers point of view
by justanotherperson
I've been to Luna Park Cafe numerous times for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and l LOVE it.
The food is great and the staff is very friendly.
Recently I read a review about Luna Park that was a COMPLETE LIE!
Usually I take criticism with a great deal of acceptance and refer to it as opinion, however, this particular review struck a chord with me.
I had to check this out for myself.
Please read the other reviews and you will find the one that I am talking about.
More importantly, you will find that people regard Luna Park as great restaraunt, with great food and an awesome environment.
Everytime I am there, the service is great. I've never had to go into the "waitress area"
but after reading the review, i made it a mission to step into the area in question to see for myself any inderlying characteristics.
What did I see when I got there? Nothing of consequence, merely the staff doing their jobs.
One person was at the register putting in an order, another thru a window chopping ingredients, and one cooking.
What I DID NOT SEE, nor have I ever, was a dishwasher that was not presentable, nor a garden hose to speak of.
I personally have never had a dirty dish at Luna Park, however I know that they are not a myth.
But I can assure you that no member of the staff would ever knowingly present you with a smudged fork or crusty plate. and in the event that it did happen I KNOW that they would gladly oblige you with a replacement.
I have to say, Ms. Patricia, it seems that you have a grudge against Luna Park.
Your review was completely void of fact.
I can only hope that your appearent smear campaign has fallen on deaf ears.
To the readers of these reviews, Luna Park Cafe is a great place.
The history, the memorabilia, the staff and the food are truly exceptional.
A "do not miss" part of the Seattle experience.
I'm sure you will find this for yourself.
Enjoy!
- Pros: service, staff, memorabilia, environment, food
- Cons: small parking lot but plenty of street parking
Scary dishwasher !!!
by patricia61
Went there friday for lunch, and i went to the waitress area to ask her for a clean fork, (who was really sweet actually, and the food wasn't bad either).
Upon turning around to go back to my table i witnessed a somewhat scary looking middle aged dishwasher spraying off a bunch of dishes with a garden hose!! and i saw they have the normal hot sprayer that dishwashers use sitting there untouched.
it grossed me out so bad that i couldn't finish my meal. i tipped the waitress for the good service, and at that point i didn't even tell her what i saw. but man that is gross, and he had the worst and scariest hygiene of a person i've seen in awhile! AND NO WONDER MY FORK HAD SOMEONE ELSES CRUSTY FOOD ON IT!!
they need to clean the place up. it has been a favorite lunch place of mine for years. i won't be back for awhile now.
good, quality brunch
by sidandsophia
stopped by for brunch before sightseeing. we each had either a hobo or a pile - pretty accurate descriptions, i must say. the bacon was just right and the hash browns not soggy or overcooked. toast and jam was pretty good, too. service was a bit dodgy, but we were sitting outside on the patio on a sunny, breezy day, so it wasn't that bad. would like to try it again for lunch or dinner, the burgers and milkshakes sounded yummy!
- Pros: quality food
- Cons: parking, service
Nicely decorated, good food
by schlammbad
Inside, the Luna Park Cafe is full of diner-era antiques throughout... old metal signs, functional neon displays and a working jukebox. There's plenty to look at while you dine on a quality breakfast or lunch. The burgers are made with juicy flavorful patties and the vegetables are fresh, crunchy, and delicious. Milkshakes and sundaes are make with hand-dipped ice cream and are worth a try if your diet allows. Outdoor dining is available and it definitely helps during the busy times, as the cafe is not large inside. There's only five or six parking spots next to the cafe, so expect to look for street parking if you drive. There is a bus stop almost right across the street if you take the bus.
- Pros: great diner decor and good food
- Cons: limited parking
Step into a kitsch-filled fantasy at this eclectic 1950s diner serving all-day breakfast, lunch and dinner.

In Short
Named after Luna Park, a Coney Island style amusement park that used to grace West Seattle's waterfront, this lively cafe serves up omelets, shakes, burgers, and nostalgia by the plateful to a family-oriented crowd. The cafe boasts an original 1958 Seaburg Jukebox that plays a constant stream of Oldies, a Batmobile amusement ride from the original Luna Park and walls peppered with colorful fifties signage.
One of my All-Time Favorite Hangouts!

Whoever gave the bad reviews doesn't know what they're talkin about! I drive all the way from ISSAQUAH just go here. Best chicken burgers on the West Coast (Especially the Works). The juke box is always dishing out great tunes, the staff are awesome and friendly, and the burgers are to die for. Inexpensive, positive atmosphere, all around great place where the staff remembers you when you walk in. A+++++
- Pros: CHICKEN BURGER!, Great People, Great Food
- Cons: NOTHING!
