I used Darcy at Fragie fit to alter my wedding gown,(or should I say re-alter). I first had it done at another salon and it did not fit right,2-weeks before the wedding I relized I needed to take it somewhere else. A friend gave me Darcy's info, and fortunatley she was able to fit me in. We addressed all my issues and she explained what needed to be done. When I came back to try it again it was perfect!!!. and to top it off her prices were great and she is fun to work with. She really put my mind at ease and releived alot of stress. I would highly recomend her to anyone.
Pros: lots of experience, fun to work with

I think my overall experience with Darcy would have been different if she had had more time to spend with me and was able to ask how I wanted my gown to fit BEFORE she began alterations. I felt rushed at all my fittings because her allotted appointment times were squished so close together that I watched the customers before me being fitted, and in turn was watched by the next customer after me (there's no waiting room in her one-room boutique). After the final fitting, I tried my dress on at home only to find that I couldn't raise my arms without my breasts becoming exposed. I brought the dress back and showed Darcy the problem, who said it couldn't be fixed and suggested I just not raise my arms up at my wedding. Extremely upset about my gown not fitting, I took it to another boutique who was able to make the dress stay up when I raised my arms. In order to do that, they simply raised the dress and took in the seam on the hips and waist- something pretty basic that should have been done in the beginning. Unfortunately, my dress ended up being a little bit too short because too much fabric had been removed from the length in the original alterations. Nevertheless, it was more important to me that I could move comfortably so it was worth it to make the changes. Someone with more knowledge about wedding gowns probably would not have had the problems I did if they were able to show Darcy exactly what they wanted. I was completely inexperienced, though, so I looked to Darcy as the expert. My beautiful dress that I'd spent so much time picking out and should have been excited about, became a huge source of anxiety for me the final days before the wedding, as I frantically searched for someone who could make it fit at the last minute.

You feel comfortable as soon as you walk into the shop. My experience with the fitting was excellent and I was given practical advice and recommendations, which really helped. I have been to other alterations places and this one is 100%, by far the best! You won't be disappointed!
Pros: No worries for parking, Friendly, efficient service, comfortable

Darcy altered my Maggie Sottero wedding gown in April and did beautiful work, was fun to interact with, and had it to me in time for the wedding. The gown had arrived too a size too large for me, so she pulled in the ruched bodice, hemmed the bottom and chapel train, and put in a French bustle so that I could dance the night away at my reception. I ended up buying one of her handmade garters as well. They were much prettier than the mass-produced ones found at department stores!
Pros: Great client service, quality workmanship
Cons: Long drive to Lynnwood

I used Darcy for alterations, Steaming, & gown preservation. She was sweet and great to work with, we did a complicated bustle because of the way my train was made, added little side "sleeves", hemmed the bottom and let out the hips of the dress. The dress looked great, but one of the bustle loops was broken when we went to bustle the train for the reception. (an ordeal, but we solved it) I still used her for my bridesmaid dress for another wedding I was in in.
Pros: offers a variety of services and works quickly
Cons: part of my gown's bustle broke before we put it up

Darcy altered my wedding gown and I had lost 16 lbs so it didn't fit anymore! She did an amazing job, took in the waist and bust, hemmed, and put on a bustle for less than half of what David's Bridal was going to charge! Thank you Darcy!
Pros: Very inexpensive, wonderful personality, did a great job!

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding a couple weeks ago Darcy from Fragile fit altered my gawn. I turned out to be pregnant after we had already orederd the gowns. Darcy made me feel very comfortable, and put my mind at ease she altered the gown perfectly and I felt beautiful. She took a stressful and made it carefree. She also did the alterations on the brides gown and it was perfect as well, and the bustle held up all night. Her prices seemed very reasonable. We will be sending all our friends her way.
Pros: very accomidating, knowledgeable, friendly and professional
