Small place with big Texas size flavor
by lars5
I have been visiting this restaurant regularly for at least 5 years, and they have never failed to deliver a tasty meal at a reasonable price. When I ask for hot style, they deliver the heat and when I want a certain cut, they deliver with no hesitation.
I enjoy listening to the "newbies" to Manna, they always say they're surprised how a tiny place, run by a Korean couple, that sells excellent Texas style BBQ. In the 5 years, I have never heard a customer complaint, or even mutter under their breath their disappointment.
- Pros: consistent quality, delicious smoked flavor, Da-Sauce
- Cons: parking (reason for the 4 stars)
My favorite Barbecue in Seattle
by hotglu
I couldn't believe this place when I found it. It says Texas barbecue and it delivers, but from the most unexpected place. It is run by a Korean couple who are not only friendly but make great food. The meats have a wonderful smoky flavor shared also by the baked beans and baked potatoes. We regularly have the chicken dinner which comes with a generous portion of meat with beans and cornbread muffin and one other side. I usually get the coleslaw which has just the right amount of mayo and is slightly sweet. And then there is the barbeque sauce; hot smoky with a hint of chocolate, fantastic. All of this comes at a reasonable price to boot. This place is worth the trip and if you live in the neighborhood, a must.
- Pros: real smoked meats and great sauce, excellent value
Good old fashion service

My husband and I love Mana's! The Texas Spuds are our favorite but every thing we have had from them has been great. You usually have to wait for a bit for your food if you go in to eat ,which I like because you can tell the food is being prepared fresh. The owners are lovely people and they are always warm and inviting. Warm and inviting can be hard to find now a days it's nice to know this kind of good old fashion service and damn good food still exist. Give them a try!
- Pros: Good food, good service, good people

Korean owners from Texas? Yes, and the food is an enticing combination of the two sensibilities. Find it in a Holman Road strip mall.
Tops in smokey BBQ flavor -- meats and sandwiches
by rbarrbar
Manna is one of my two favorite places for BBQ food -- high quality meat free of fat and gristle. The meat is great without sauce, but the sauces are quite pleasing, too. (tomato based, not molasses style)
The owner/operators care about pleasing their customers and it makes all the difference.
My family has been enjoying Manna for over 15 years (they used to be in Fremont).
I've eaten at most of the Seattle BBQ joints and nobody bests Manna for quality and consistency.
The smoked turkey (sauce on the side) is our favorite take home.
The pork sanwhich is our favorite eat in item.
- Pros: quality, service, value
- Cons: parking
Good BBQ

I really like this place, so much in fact that I visit it once a week. The best is probably the pork sandwich, followed by the turkey.
The whole place smells like it's been smoked, but it's the sauce you'll come back for. It practically begs to be drank!
- Pros: BBQ Sauce, Inexpensive, Friendly
- Cons: Little parking, Small inside, hard to get into
